Years ago when I started the Delusion Resistance in order to expose the Strong Delusion I only thought that I would be getting into exposing Aliens as being fallen angels and ghosts as being the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim. Oh, I also thought that I would show Darwinian Evolution for the sham that it is too. Never did I think that I would find myself exposing heresies in the Church because they were few and far between and they seemed to be the machinations of lunatic false believers who Believers would see as so far down the heretic trail that they would never follow such moronic things. Boy was I wrong.
When I first became a believer in Yeshua Ha Mashiach, the majority of Christians were ardent supporters and defenders of Israel, now the reverse is true. When I first became a believer most Christians did abide by Biblical Christianity, for the most part; the weirdness hadn’t started yet. When I first became a believer I would attend Vineyard celebrations from time to time because the worship was awesome and reverent. It seems like the Christian world has turned upside down. Sure, there were the cults like the Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Jesus Only people; the classic cults, but never would I have ever imagined that Charismatic Christianity would have been capable of become the seeker of idols and the practitioners of doctrines that would probably even shock Rabbi Paul had he been around to see it. What used to be a part time job for me (exposing cults and false doctrines) has now become a full time second job for me. Not a week goes by where I don’t hear that the NAR has introduced some new weirdness into the realm of Christianity.
Talking about not a week going by. Not a week goes by on our radio show, or in this blog where I tell people, or Jim Wilhelmsen tells people that you need to check EVERYTHING with scripture. People also need to check scripture with scripture. Earlier on the blog I talked about Grave Sucking, where these NAR nuts are running around telling people that when people die, and they haven’t finished their work for Yahweh, the Ruach Ha Kodesh power that they had lingers around their body indefinitely and, that if folks lay on the graves of these people they can actually get the remainder of the anointing of the Ruach on those dead people to come onto them. I showed the ONE scripture that these deceived people use to justify their actions and how it doesn’t apply. However, because people won’t read the entirety of Biblical Scripture, they are fooled into believing that this form of necromancy is allowable, not realizing that there are tons of scriptures that speak against doing such things. Also, I’ve written about how people are getting into the “Tabernacle of David” heresy, where they believe that they can acquire spiritual power based on praise because they spiritualize Isaiah 16:5; Amos 9:11; Acts 15:16 (which quotes Amos); and 2 Samuel 6:17. Those are the scriptures that talk about the Tabernacle of David. The two words in Hebrew and the Greek word in Acts all mean a physical structure, NOT any worship that occurred around the Tabernacle. Unfortunately, a good friend and former pastor has fallen into this error and it grieves me. It interests me too that the word used in Amos for Tabernacle is Succa, the word that is used to form Succot, the Jewish feast where we make temporary structures to dwell in for a week every years to commemorate the temporary structures our relatives lived in while traveling from Egypt to Israel. Again, we’re talking about structures, not praise and worship. But I digress.
I merely want to stress that scripture must be read and studied with seriousness and contriteness while asking Yahweh to reveal its meaning, and it always should be taken literally first, then spiritual application should be added if it is applicable. It is so easy to fall into error if we are not careful and following Yahweh’s menu for interpretation. For instance, there is a scripture, John 11:35 that says that Yeshua wept. Literally it meant that he was sorrowful when thinking about his friend Lazarus. Almost all of us weep when we lose a loved one or close friend, that is natural. However, it doesn’t mean that we should somehow think that weeping brings us closer to Yahweh and form a doctrine of weeping that will bring us closer to Him. There used to be a joke years ago that there was a guy playing what we called Bible Bingo. That’s jumping from verse to verse without reading context. According to the joke (allegory) the guy would read two scriptures a day and then perform them. For instance, if he read love one-another and feed my sheep, he would go down to the homeless shelter and volunteer. The last day of his life he read, “and Judas hanged himself,” and, “go thou and do likewise.” We have to use common sense, guidance by the Ruach Ha Kodesh and proper context when reading scripture. When reading about the Tabernacle of David, we have to realize that Yahweh is talking about a literal structure because the Hebrew and Greek words denote that it is a literal structure and because Yahweh says that HE is going to do it. It’s not going to be a revival movement nor is it a method of worship to draw Yahweh closer to us. If people haven’t realized that Emmanuel means “God with us” and that He’s with us all the time then there’s something wrong. Two or more people gathering in Yeshua’s name; then Yahweh is there. To try to use praise and worship to bring him near is tantamount to incantation and that is forbidden.
So now that we know how error occurs how does this apply to a “School of the Prophets?” Well, the answer for that is simple. You merely look at scripture to see if there was ever a school for the prophets and see if it is a valid thing to do. In scripture there is no school for prophets. So, then you type in the word “prophets” into something like the Blue Letter Bible to and you do an exhaustive process of looking at every scripture that talks about a group (prophets is plural) of prophets. There are some scriptures that talk about groups of prophets. You also look at the beginning of each of the prophetic books to see how each prophets was called. I don’t find any prophet that mentions having gone to a school nor do I find any of the major or minor prophets of the Bible that talks about having former education in prophetic instruction. Yes, we do read about one prophet mentoring another, like Elijah and Elisha, and we read about prophetic mantles being handed down from one prophet to another, but never instruction where a group of prophets would take in potential prophets and train them in the prophetic office.
The first prophet we should look at is Samuel. A person not familiar with scripture could contend that Samuel was trained by Eli to be a prophet. Let’s look at the calling of Samuel:
And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was precious in those days; there was no open vision. And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see; And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep; That the Lord called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I. And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down. And the Lord called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again. Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, neither was the word of the Lord yet revealed unto him. And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the Lord had called the child. Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
And the Lord came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth. And the Lord said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle. In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end. For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not. And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli, that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be purged with sacrifice nor offering for ever. And Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of the house of theLord. And Samuel feared to shew Eli the vision.
Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he answered, Here am I. And he said, What is the thing that the Lord hath said unto thee? I pray thee hide it not from me: God do so to thee, and more also, if thou hide any thing from me of all the things that he said unto thee. And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the Lord: let him do what seemeth him good. And Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground. And all Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the Lord. And the Lord appeared again in Shiloh: for the Lord revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the Lord. 1 Samuel 3:1-21
We know that Eli was a Priest before Yahweh, and not a very good one because he knew his sons perverted and mocked the offering before Yahweh and he never brought them to correction. So if Samuel was under Eli, Samuel was in training for the priesthood, not a prophetic office. It should also be noted that other prophets started out the same way. Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Zechariah and (possibly) Isaiah were of the priestly line and therefore were destined to be, if they weren’t already Priests unto Yahweh. And for those of you who cling to the false notion that the Tanakh is not in important anymore, John the Baptist was the son of a Priest and would have been destined to follow in his father’s footsteps had he not been called to be a prophet. In order to prove that Eli was a priest, and not a prophet running a school of prophets, we merely have to look at the prior chapter of 1 Samuel to see who he was and why Yahweh was so angry with him, and in addition, that a Prophet came to him to tell him about his future and the future of his progeny:
And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house? And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel? Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people? Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father’s house, that there shall not be an old man in thine house. And thou shalt see an enemy in my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in thine house for ever. And the man of thine, whom I shall not cut off from mine altar, shall be to consume thine eyes, and to grieve thine heart: and all the increase of thine house shall die in the flower of their age. And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them. And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever. And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left in thine house shall come and crouch to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray thee, into one of the priests’ offices, that I may eat a piece of bread. 1 Samuel 2:27-36
We know that Eli was not a prophet because he had to receive the word of Yahweh from an unnamed prophet. We know that he was familiar with the prophetic office because of that unnamed prophet. We can also guess that he knew that when Samuel heard his named called three times that Eli knew that it was Yahweh calling Samuel, at least the third time Samuel’s name was called. Possibly Eli realized that Samuel would bring a word of favor or forgiveness to him from Yahweh, who knows?
There are other scriptures that the NAR group uses to enforce that they can run a School of Prophets. Let’s look at them and dissect them, shall we?
Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the Lord hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance? When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel’s sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son? Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Bethel, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine: And they will salute thee, and give thee two loaves of bread; which thou shalt receive of their hands. After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy: And the Spirit of the Lord will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man. And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee. And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come to thee, and shew thee what thou shalt do.
And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day. And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them. And it came to pass, when all that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the people said one to another, What is this that is come unto the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets? And one of the same place answered and said, But who is their father? Therefore it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets? And when he had made an end of prophesying, he came to the high place. 1 Samuel 10:1-13
Okay, so let’s look at this because it is a very important scripture to the NAR crowd. First, it is very important to note that the person Samuel is talking to is the King Saul. Saul is told to go and meet with a “company of prophets.” The word for company is:
chebel – a band or company. It can also mean union
The word for “prophets is:
nabiy’ – A spokesman, speaker or prophet
As sort of a satirical side note, it can also mean a “false prophet,” or “heathen prophet.” This could be applicable where the NAR gang is concerned. (smile)
I don’t know about you the reader, but I do not read anything about Saul being sent to a School of The Prophets. What happened to Saul is that he received the Anointing of The Ruach Ha Kodesh. Note also that many aspect of his experience foreshadow what happened to the disciples on the Day of Pentecost in Acts Chapter 2. In Saul’s account, it made the people of Israel marvel and they even asked if Saul was a prophet. We must also note that Saul’s time or prophesying did come to an end that day. What happened to Saul was no different than what happens to believers of Yeshua when they receive the baptism (anointing) of the Ruach Ha Kodesh, but not all people who are Baptised in Yahweh’s Ruach become prophets. The same is applicable to Saul, because Saul did not become a prophet and had to run to Samuel to inquire of Yahweh when he got himself into hot water. The men that Saul ran into were just a group of prophets that hung around together. I have been given the office of prophet. I like to associate with others with the same office, as long as they are humble and contrite and give Yahweh the glory for words spoken, dreams dreamed, visions shown AND they know how to discern when a word, dream and/or vision come from Yahweh. Also, my prophetic friends share words with each other so that we can pray for correct interpretation and we’re not afraid to correct in love when that is needed too. To form a Prophetic School would be to say that Yahweh is dictated by certain rules, and who are men to decide what those rules are; only Yahweh can. In addition, the masters of any school are human, and humans are prone to error, pride and hautiness. Plus, where does the Ruach Ha Kodesh fit into all of this supposed schooling? Answer, he probably doesn’t.
And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied. And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also. Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah. And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah. And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets? 19:20-24
Again we see this “company of prophets” and again we see the Hebrew words, which are the same. Basically, Samuel was presiding over a prophetic meeting out in the little city of Naioth of Ramah. We do not see a prophecy school! Apparently, these prophets were all seeking Yahweh and Yahweh’s presence was so strong in Naioth that anyone that came near was affected in that they spoke of the wonderful attributes of Yahweh. It doesn’t mean that they were speaking words of knowledge, or having visions or dreaming; it meant that they were under the influence of Ruach Ha Kodesh. To prophesy doesn’t mean to just tell the future or reveal the sins of others, it is most used in Scripture to mean glorifying Yahweh by talking about His attributes, His works and His wonders. During times of praise and worship in church you are prophesying. Under the divine unction of the Ruach Ha Kodesh, even sinners prophesy. Stories that come to us of events that happened during some of the great revivals show this to be true. There have been accounts of people under conviction confessing their sin and giving glory to Yahweh before they are even saved. We’re told that on the last day, when the books are opened that everyone will confess Yeshua to be Yahweh:
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11
Obviously this doesn’t mean that every person that has lived, is living and will live before the final day will have gone through prophetic school or would have been a prophet. No, it means that when Yahweh so wills it, the very truth has to be told and in His presence nothing but the truth can be told. If any truth comes out of this blog entry, or Journal or whatever it is, that truth in this matter has to be that only the Holy Spirit can be the School of The Prophets. No man should ever dare to teach the things that only the Ruach Ha Kodesh can teach.
There are other scriptures that the NAR gang like to use to enforce their doctrine that there has to be a School of The Prophets:
And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace…….And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace. 2 Kings 2:3,5
And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets. 2 Kings 4:38
The Hebrew words for “sons of the prophets,” are:
ben – son, member of a group, and a member of a guild, order or classification
nabiy’ – A spokesman, speaker or prophet
Properly rendered in the only context that makes any sense, these were men who were members of an order of prophets, or men who were classified as prophets. They had the prophetic office. Prophets are unique in that they are not offices handed down via blood relationship; they are chosen by Yahweh uniquely. To say that these men were sons of other prophets who passed down their mantle from generation to generation is an offense to Yahweh who is the only one who can commission prophets and anoint them for their office. To say that these scriptures speak of a “School of Prophets” is an incorrect rendering or said scripture.
So, What Does Schooling Mean to The NAR?
If the NAR has decided that a “School of The Prophets” is necessary, and they endorse a book by Kris Vallotton. Notice the endorsement on the book. It is endorsed by none other than head heretic Bill Johnson, one of the supposed “super apostles.” He runs Bethel Church in Redding, California. Now, I have nothing against Kris Vallotton; I’ve never met the man. I’m not boycotting his book, no, in fact I’m telling people to get it because in it you can see what a “School of The Prophets” is all about. Will you find any scriptural basis for a literal “School of The Prophets?” I seriously doubt that you will, seeing that scripturally there is no basis. However, one will be able to see the double-speak and scripture twisting that goes on within the NAR. The reason why people fall for things like this is they don’t read the Bible, so they can’t discern about right and wrong as Yahweh sees right and wrong.
The question then presents itself, how does one meet the criteria for becoming an apostle or a prophet with the NAR. A wonderful and very thorough blog called “Slaughter of The Sheep,” goes into these things quit in depth. According to them:
So, how do you become an apostle or prophet in the NAR? You have to be confirmed as an apostle or prophet by…. the NAR’s apostles and prophets. Only they can recognize you as such. This elitism then divides the church into the “haves” and “have nots.” Those who have the power and those who don’t. The “have nots” in the church must submit to the authority of the “haves” – the elite ones, the super christians – the apostles and prophets. Having read a bit more on this subject the following scenario presents itself. Let’s say that I find out through deduction and the fact that Yahweh has told me two or three things and they have all come to pass. Perhaps one thing was a word of knowledge for a person, another was a dream about the church splitting because of division of doctrine and I have a vision of some sort of economic mayhem that would affect Yahweh’s people. So I get a hold of the Elijah List and I post those things there. Then I have another word for Yahweh’s People and send it to Elijah List. The people there are in sync with some of the bigwigs of the NAR and they see that I am a young (entertain me here) and inexperienced person with the prophetic mantle. They take interest in me and tell me that they’d like to take me under their wing so that I could learn how to exercise my office effectively (using their definition of effectiveness). So they start to mentor me, and me, being a young and naive accept them as my mentors. Since they are Dominionists in doctrine, any prophecy that didn’t fit into their doctrine they would tell me was false and any prophecy that suited their doctrine they would hail as being right on. Since many of them are into Replacement Theology, any prophecy that would talk about Israel being the Chosen People of Yahweh would be called a false prophecy and any prophecy that stated that Christians would take over Israel would be accepted. In other words, they would mold me and make me in their image, not in the image that Yahweh has for me. From what I’ve read from people who have left the NAR and/or Elijah List, this is what the modus operandi of the NAR’s prophetic training consists of. If you disagree with the NAR’s plan for prophets you’re seen as a infidel, a lone gun and outside the will of Yahweh.
Now, let’s look at just one of the “Grand Pooba’s” of the NAR prophetic realm. If you’ve been in Charismatic Christian circles for any length of time you’ve heard the name Rick Joyner. Rick is the Heinrich Himmler of the NAR camp and the Fuhrer of all that is prophecy within the NAR. If you speak against Joyner, you’ve insulted not only the NAR, but all of the sycophants that are part of the movement in any way. Our Lord, Yeshua, told us not to condemn people, but he did tell us to inspect their fruit. For many years Christianity has ascribed Masonry as an ungodly and Luciferian order that draws in people just like the NAR does. It takes in people who mean well but are ignorant to what Masonry really is. Just like the NAR, the Masonic Order draws in people who haven’t read their Bibles and do not have any discernment as to what Yahweh wants and requires, and the things that Yahweh abhors and tells us to stay away from. In the higher ranks of the Masonic Order they learn that the real god that they worship is Lucifer. Lucifer was the Chief Cherub to Yahweh until he rebelled and became Satan, the destroyer.
Rick Joyner does not beat around the bush when it comes to his involvement in this secret society, except he does explain it away because he belongs to a now very well known section of the Masonic Order known as “Knights of Malta.” Rick Joyner states the following on his website in regard to his affiliation with the Knights of Malta. This is a little long, but quite revealing:
Q. Why did I join the Knights of Malta?
This remains a frequently asked question, so I want to answer it as completely as I can. The names that are left out in this account are because I have not had a chance to ask them if I could use their names.
In 1987 I met a man from one of the old noble families of Eastern Europe. His family had owned a large and prosperous industry before the communist takeover in their country. In a conversation with him, I was told about an extraordinary order of knights who were keeping alive the vision of chivalry and the defense of Christianity, and were waging a brave fight to reclaim what had been lost to the enemies of the cross. He explained that you could not join this order, but had to be recommended and proven to be true of the most stringent biblical standards of morality and integrity, and have risked your life for the sake of the gospel. I was very intrigued, and decided to research this order called “The Knights of Malta.”
I visited the island of Malta while in the Navy, and at that time toured their old fortifications. I was very moved as I read about their historic exploits, but had no idea the order still existed. While reading about their battles against Islam during the Middle Ages, I felt it was one of the greatest stories of courage, endurance, and devotion to a calling since biblical times. Three times they faced the most powerful armies of Islam, outnumbered by as many as one hundred to one, but vowed never to retreat before the enemies of the cross. They endured some of the most terrible sieges in the history of warfare, and to the astonishment of the whole world, these few brave knights prevailed. They almost single-handedly stopped the seemingly unstoppable hordes of Islam, saving Christian Europe.
Over the next couple of years, I often traveled through Europe, and was surprised to find many who still revered the famous Knights of Malta. I became convinced that, even though the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but spiritual, there was a desperate need for such courageous souls to again band together and vow to retreat no further before the enemies of the cross. I saw many parallels in the history of the Knights of Malta, who are also called the Order of St. John (OSJ), with what I had been shown prophetically in the vision I was given about the coming harvest and the struggle that much of the world was about to face.
In the mid and late 1980s, a number of prophetic people that I know began to receive indications that communism was going to decline, but that what would arise to take its place would be far worse than communism had ever been. A number of us were shown that there would arise a combination of some of the elements of communism with Islamic extremism. This would not be a combination of communism with Islam as much as it would be a military alliance of some kind in which these extremists would gain access to weapons of mass destruction, and they would use them to terrorize the entire world.
Others and myself gave many prophetic warnings about this in the late eighties, which we have repeated from time to time. We also believe that when things like this are shown to prophetic people, it is for the purpose of stopping them. This can be done with prayer, repentance, or revival. We are not warring with flesh and blood, and our warfare is never against people, but the evil forces of darkness that can gain control of them. The call is for Christians to arise and do the same thing in the spirit that the OSJ did in the natural during the Middle Ages. Our weapons are the Word of God and His truth, which are infinitely more powerful.
I was also shown that some of the great last-day leaders of Christianity would emerge from these extreme Islamic groups who would be converted by the power of God. These would be as radical for Christ as they had been for Islam, and they would be willing to make any sacrifice required for the sake of the truth, and turn multitudes to life in Christ that they would have otherwise killed.
Then I was shown that the Lord had preserved a remnant of true knights of the OSJ because they had a purpose in the great last-day battle between light and darkness. One day I actually prayed that, even though I had never desired earthly honors or titles, I would like to become one of these knights. After this prayer, it seemed that hardly a month went by and prophetic people began saying that they had seen me being knighted by the Lord. Sometimes I was told this in public meetings, which I am sure many who were in our early meetings remember.
During this time, while I was in Berlin speaking at a conference, Paul Cain and I had dinner with Colonel Eugene Bird. Col. Bird had been the American Commandant of the Spandau Prison, which housed the Nazi war criminals after the war, and was famous for the international bestseller he had written about Rudolf Hess titledThe Loneliest Man In The World, (recently re-released asPrisoner Number Seven). Many now consider Col. Bird to be one of the foremost authorities on Nazi Germany. He is also one of the most fascinating people I have ever met.
In the 1970s I was shown that what took place in Germany in the 1930s and 1940s was “a dress rehearsal” for the way the anti-Christ spirit would try to take over the world at the end. I had also studied that period of history for years. I began telling Col. Bird about my recent study of the interesting history of the Knights of Malta. To my surprise Col. Bird told me that he had recently been knighted by this Order, and that I too had been recommended for investiture by an Austrian baron. He also told me about a spiritual renewal that was taking place in the OSJ, and that some of this had come about because of my books which were being read by the knights.
About a week later I was standing in a Nuremberg hotel lobby with some friends, when one of them announced the entry of the Austrian baron who Col. Bird had just told me about. As this man approached, I asked Bobby Conner to tell me if he saw anything prophetic about this man. Bobby began to share with him a vision that he had just seen of a strange briefcase, and that he had just visited the office of Kurt Waldheim. The baron was astonished because he had just had a briefcase custom made like the one Bobby described for Kurt Waldheim, and had just come from giving it to him in his office (Kurt Waldheim was at that time the President of Austria, but Bobby did not know who he was). The Austrian baron was already a believer in the prophetic, but he said that he had not seen anything on quite this level. This began a series of events that made Kurt Waldheim a believer as well. This was important for a significant prophetic/diplomatic meeting with one of the most powerful Arab leaders in the Middle East which would take place at a later date. This was when I first realized how some of the knights of the OSJ were being used for amazing spiritual-diplomatic achievements that were in the interest of the kingdom of God. A number of very influential world leaders were presented straightforwardly with the gospel, as well as given important prophetic information which came to pass.
This was all very intriguing, but I began to have questions about joining the OSJ simply because I felt it was something that could be controversial and easily misunderstood by Christians who did not have the benefit of witnessing the kind of things that I had. I asked the Lord to show me clearly if this was something I should do that had a purpose. I don’t mind controversy, but I just want it to serve a purpose. A few days later one of my most trusted prophetic friends called me from Europe and said that the Lord was about to give me “an honor” and credentials that I would be able to use like Paul used his Roman citizenship. He had no idea what it was specifically, but I did.
That was all the confirmation I needed as I was reminded of the many words that I had received about being knighted. It was at this time that I also happened upon a story about how the early Moravian bishops crossed the Alps to have the remnants of the early French reformation movements lay hands on them for their blessing. Because I knew there was a coming great world conflict with Islamic extremists, I wanted the blessing of the Order of their courage and resolve never to retreat before the enemies of the cross. I had been shown that the Lord was going to again raise up true knights of the Holy Spirit who would stand against this terrible onslaught, and again be used to turn it back. If the OSJ was going to again arise to stand as it had before, I wanted to be a part of it in any way that I could.
I was also shown that there would be a controversy around the OSJ that would follow me, but that this too was a blessing from the Lord that would help to keep paranoid people away from us. For the onslaught that was to come, which was fear in many terrible forms, we would need the fellowship of those with unfailing courage. We would need the resolve to stay focused on who the real enemy was and not waste time fighting phantom enemies that paranoid people spend much of their time fighting.
I was also shown that a reason for the rise in Islamic extremism was the moral pollution and perversion that was being spread over the earth from America and the West. Just as the Lord disciplined Israel’s apostasy by allowing the heathen nations to carry them into captivity for a time, the United States was also in danger of actually being reduced from being a world power, and that we too could be carried into a terrible and oppressive captivity that would be imposed by Martial law in reaction to the terrorism.
Just as the knights of the OSJ had to fight the hordes of Islam by day, and then battle fires within their fortress at night, what was coming would be a two front battle, both within and without. I believe if we are going to win this battle against the extremists from Islam, and the moral meltdown that is going on within, Christians will have to become true knights of the cross, and fight like them. There is going to be a revival of a true order of knights that will restore honor, nobility, and morality, to the nations. On both fronts, within and without, we are fighting for our very existence. In Daniel 11:31-32 we read something that is very relevant to this:“And forces from him will arise, desecrate the sanctuary fortress, and do away with the regular sacrifice. And they will set up the abomination of desolation.”“And by smooth words he will turn to godlessness those who act wickedly toward the covenant, but the people who know their God will display strength and take action.”
Here we see that at the very time when the man of sin is setting up the abomination of desolation and turning many to godlessness, those “who know their God will display strength and take action.” There are great and noble souls who are about to arise with unfailing resolve and courage to stand against the great darkness of all time. They do not have a retreat mentality, but they will “display strength and take action” right in the face of the ultimate evil.
Q. Is The OSJ connected to the Masons?
No. Neither are there any secret vows or rituals in the OSJ. The OSJ is a true Christian order, and the vows for knighthood are commitments to be servants of Christ and no other god, as well as to Christian truth and principles. The eight pointed Maltese Cross was designed to represent the eight beatitudes of Christ which the knight was to wear on his heart at all times as a constant reminder of what was to be in his heart.
Because some believe that the origin of the Masons was the Knights Templer (Knights of the Temple), which also had its origin in the crusades at about the same time as the OSJ as well as a number of other orders, some have tried to assert that the Masons and OSJ are related. Actually, when the Templer knights were excommunicated for their secret vows and rituals that were considered to be witchcraft, they believed that the OSJ was behind their debacle, and some consider the OSJ to be the greatest enemy of the Masons to this day. However, most Masons, and members of the OSJ, are oblivious to this, as well as much of the rest of their history. I have also heard that in some countries Masons and the OSJ do work together for charitable causes that both are committed to, such as hospitals and medical relief.
Some have also concluded that they are related because the head of each is called a Grand Master. These are simply titles that were left over from the Middle Ages, and such guilt by random association is a symptom of paranoia which may be an even greater danger in the future than any wayward order. Should Christians give up their title as priests to the Lord because there are satanic priests? We don’t throw away our real money because someone finds a counterfeit, neither should we give up our vocabulary just because the enemy decides to use it.
Also, even though the majority of Masons are only aware of three degrees (Apprentice, Journeyman, and Master Mason) there is a secret society within some Masonic groups that recognize thirty-three degrees. Each of these degrees has a title, and the title given to the twenty-seventh degree is “Knight of Malta.” Some assert that this proves there is a relationship between them, but they also use other Christian titles for some of these degrees, none of which do I believe relate to the Christian use of it. I do not think that we should give up any of them just because some Masons use them.
As a Christian I am deeply alarmed by everything I have studied about the Masons. I do not know how any Christian can make the basic vow required for entry to the Masons. I have not, nor would I ever be a part of any secret society, or one that has secret rituals. The OSJ has neither. They do everything in the light, all of its vows and rituals are Christian, and are commitments to basic Christian doctrine.
There are some who claim to be the true OSJ that do at least have teachings that I believe to be in conflict with basic Christian truth, but we also have groups that claim to be the true Christian church that do as well. Should Christians stop calling themselves the church because some who are not true Christians call themselves the church? Again, I do not intend to let those with such flawed reasoning dictate what I do or do not do, as I am committed to walking by faith, not by fear.
Q. Am I trying to start an elite group of Christians?
Absolutely. I will not apologize for the fact that I am on a quest to find Christians who will rise above the lukewarm and fearful to be true knights of the cross, true nobility in the earth that will not compromise the biblical standards for morality, integrity, and commitment to sound biblical truth. I do believe that this is what the Lord intends for all of His people to be, but the fact is such are becoming increasingly rare.
Will this be an “exclusive” club? Absolutely not. It will always be wide open to all who aspire to live for the Lord and not themselves, who are committed to fight the good fight of faith with all of the passion and zeal that our King deserves.
Q. Do I think that we need orders in Christianity?
Ideally no. I think that simply being a member of the body of Christ is the greatest honor that we can ever have on this earth. However, because of the present and historic weaknesses of the church in general, they have served a great purpose in creating spiritual advances, and will again do so for at least the near future.
Just as Count Zinzendorf, the true father of modern missions, created the Order of the Mustard Seed, which touched and inspired men like John Wesley to release a spiritual fire in the earth that created the First Great Awakening in America and Europe, I think that the church is in desperate need of groups who will join together to press beyond the state of modern Christianity as it is generally found in most of the world. Call these “elitist” groups if you want, but we need them to call all Christians to higher standards of faith and life. I make no apologies for my plans to start one (which I will explain later), and to assist the OSJ to accomplish its mandate. Such a thing will only be offensive to the lukewarm and the fearful, which in the midst of our present distress, I do not believe we have the time to care about offending.
For several years I have considered starting a special fellowship for those who will rise up to become true Christian knights of the Spirit. A year ago I was given a clear mandate from the Lord to do this, which He also showed me was given many years ago but I had not understood it as such. It is to be a fellowship of those who would walk in a manner worthy of their calling, never retreating before the enemies of the cross, or compromising their principles or integrity, intent on one mission—following the King, fighting His battles, and standing resolutely for His truth.
As a part of this program we are also called to start a similar fellowship for children and youth. I appreciate programs like Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts, but the church is in need of something that greatly surpasses these programs in preparing the coming generation for their purpose. What we are now starting is a program that takes children from eight years old and plants sound doctrine deep in their hearts, while raising them up to be true knights of the Spirit who will live their entire lives as such. If they are alone in a foreign land, they will conduct themselves as such—always ready to defend the truth, the poor, and the oppressed, representing our King in a manner worthy of His soldiers.
Recently I was given a little book of sermons by John G. Lake, one of the great Christian leaders of modern times. Lake not only had one of the most effective ministries in history, he seemed to be one of those rare souls who walked in a manner worthy of his calling to the end, never falling to the pride or other worldly seductions that trip up so many. He wrote shortly before he died in 1935:“I am getting ready in my soul, not to preach the old message with the old fire, but the new message with the new fire—not only to ask men to be good and go to heaven when they die, but to be God-like in character, nature, substance, and being. God is priming our souls. He is going to send forth the living waters and call by experience the new order of Knights of the Morning Star into being and action.” (Spiritual Hunger and Other Sermons by John G. Lake, page 18. Published by Christ For The Nations, Inc.)
When I saw this I did take it as a prophecy whose time had come. I am looking for those who will devote themselves to true spiritual chivalry and nobility who will not only speak the truth, but will live it. We are seeking the fellowship of those who will live by the courage that it will take to resist the great darkness of our times that is rising from both within and without. I am looking for extreme Christians who will not hesitate to lay down their lives for the sake of the gospel. I am looking for those who will conduct themselves as the true nobility in the earth, sons and daughters of the King, even when they are alone with no one to see them but God. I am looking for those who will live with a zeal that burns away the chaff of lukewarmness that so grips modern Christianity, but do it without falling to the ultimate sin of pride, who will remain humble by being teachable, and who will consider it their duty to serve the poor and the oppressed until every captive has been set free.
Q. If the OSJ is not a secret order, why have so few Christians heard of it?
I think that few American Christians have heard of it, and we do tend to have the pride that if something does not start with us, or is not known by us, it must not be important.
Before I was knighted I thoroughly checked out the OSJ to be sure that there were not secret vows or rituals, which I am steadfastly against as I believe that anything that has to be done in secret is of darkness, and my resolution is to walk in the light. I found that there were many groups that claimed to be the true remnant of the OSJ, and many of these had fallen to weird, if not demonic, practices. I also studied the position that the Roman Catholic OSJ had taken when it was re-commissioned, declaring themselves to alone be the true order, which, in my opinion is the same erroneous position that they had taken when they declared themselves to be the only true church. From my research I concluded that the OSJ that had recommended me for investiture was in fact the one that had the greatest claim on this great title.
When I talked to the head of the Order about this he said very generously that the OSJ was now much like the church, divided into many different groups, some of which claimed to be the only valid one, but that he was committed to recognizing all who were true knights of the cross, as such. It is true that there are many weird groups on the fringe of the church that claim to be the true church who are now at best sects, and some of which have become cults. Should we stop calling ourselves the church because of them? Of course not. In fact these help purify the motives of those who are a part of the church, as do many of these strange groups who also claim to be knights of Malta.
I have many other things that I will be sharing about this in the future, but time prevents me from doing so now. However, you can be sure that we will be open and forthright about all that we do and why. I do appreciate people’s questions about it, though I do confess to not wanting to waste time with those who I feel are in the grip of invalid spiritual fears and paranoia. I do not expect everyone to agree with us, and do believe that just as almost all of Europe considered the OSJ “archaic relics from the past” until they rose up and saved Europe, we do not expect to be understood or appreciated by much of the church today. Honestly, that is not important to me anyway. I just want to know that I am being obedient to the King, Jesus.
Epic spiritual battles are now being fought. Great knights of the Spirit are now gathering, and are likewise vowing to never retreat before the enemies of the cross. They are taking their stand against the great powers of darkness that even now seem to be covering the earth, seeking to build their strongholds of deception and corruption in every nation and culture. Brave spiritual knights are gathering to take their stand against these hordes from hell. They are building their own strongholds on truth, honor, and true spiritual chivalry. Our fight will take no less courage, endurance, and focused vision to prevail. We would do well to review, and take courage from the great history of the Order of St. John.
I wrote a booklet on the history of the OSJ titled, Courage That Changed the World, which you can order on this website, or by calling our toll free number 1-800-542-0278. [Source: http://www.morningstarministries.org/about/questions-and-answers/knights-malta-rick-joyner#.VJB-_ivF98E]
The very first problem that one should see in this diatribe is that Joyner met with a very old noble family of Europe. It is common knowledge that the “old families of Europe” are also known as The Illuminati. He mentions that the Knights of Malta are related somehow to those who saved Europe from Islamic conquest. Those people were known as the Knights Templar. He also mentions that not anyone can join this “brotherhood,” but that one has to be invited and then they have to prove themselves to be fervent Christians. He goes into other things about these supposed Guardians of Christianity. Do you feel like you’re listening to a script for another Indiana Jones movie? I do.
A good friend David wrote to me challenging the notion that the Knights of Malta are Masonic in origin. He brings up some good points, saying that instead of the Knights being Masonic, they are Roman Catholic in origin. Having read what he sent to me there is good cause to believe that they are. Here is what he sent me plus the link that he included.
Dude, Knights of Malta isn’t Masonic it’s uber-RC. They are kind of an older version of Opus Dei that the Papacy used to balance firepower against the Jesuits with (since the K of M are directly the Pope’s hounds). The Knights of Malta are the old Hospitallers NOT to ever be confused with the Kabbalistic/Masonic Templars…. That said if Joyner (like Pat Buchanan) is one he does indeed believe in a one world Dominion, just under Rome…. http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/07477a.htm
What concerns me is that Joyner has gone out of his way to direct people away from a Masonic connection. Why doesn’t he also include the Knights of Malta Catholic connection that David so aptly presents and gives proof of. Something is fishy, but if you go with the Catholic connection, or you read below and go with the Masonic connection you have to agree that both are bad news and whether Joyner goes the Vatican route or the Masonic route he is bad news for many things he is associated with or without the Knights of Malta connection.
Next, Joyner goes into a diatribe about how the Knights of Malta have nothing to do with the Masonic cult. Well, if someone wants to believe Joyner about that then so-be-it, but someone ought to tell the Masonic Order that the Knights of Malta aren’t a part of them because the Mason’s don’t know that yet. A Masonic group from New Zealand goes through some effort to associate the Knights of Malta with Masonry:
First they describe what Free Masons Are:
What is Freemasonry
- One of the world’s oldest and largest fraternal organisations
- An organisation of men who adopt the fundamental principle of integrity, goodwill and charity as the foundations for an individual’s life and character
- A non-profit organisation that is heavily involved in supporting charity and community service
- Comprised of men of good character with high ideals and worthwhile values who make a difference in the community
Freemasonary is not:
- a secret society
- a religion or a substitute for religion
- a benefit society and to join for personal gain
A Freemasons Code
- To share a concern and respect for human values, moral standards, the laws of society and the rights of individuals
- To believe in a Supreme Being
- To help other people through charity work and community service
- To promote fellowship and goodwill amongst his fellow members
- To regularly attend Lodge meetings and participate, with his family, in masonic activities
Then another page talks about the other orders of Freemasonry:
Other Masonic bodies
During and following the development of Craft Freemasonry, there have been formed many additional Masonic Orders and Organisations.
While these other Orders are separate from Craft Freemasonry they almost all require membership of the Craft as a basic qualification for admission, and some have additional membership requirements. Certain of these Orders are related to Craft Freemasonry, and extend the legends and moral lessons introduced in its ceremonies.
Within New Zealand Freemasonry, one of these Orders, known as the Royal Arch, is, for historical reasons, most closely associated with Craft Freemasonry.
The following is a list of other Orders and Organisations active in New Zealand. Where information has been agreed with the order concerned, the link provides some details of that organisation.
Order of The Eastern Star
Order of the Secret Monitor
The Ancient and Accepted Rite (Rose Croix)
Knights Templar and Order of Malta
Royal Order of Scotland
Allied Masonic Degrees
Red Cross of Constantine
Knight Templar Priests
Then they tell us exactly what the Knights of Malta is:
Knights Templar and Knights of Malta
Candidates for the order must be Royal Arch masons and profess Christianity. There are two degrees worked the second being in two parts.
- Knight of the Temple
- (a) Knight of St. Paul or the Mediterranean Pass and (b) Knight of Malta.
The United Great Priory in New Zealand was constituted in 1988 and brought together the two bodies (commonly called “the black knights, and the white knights”) working in New Zealand at that time . The regalia worn is a replica of that worn by the original Knights Templar and consists of a white tunic with a large red cross thereon and a white mantle over the top and a cap. Swords are generally worn but some officers do not, for example, the Chaplain. [Source:http://www.freemasons.co.nz/wp/about-us/other-masonic-bodies/knights-templar/]
Well, someone is lying. Either the Masonic Order doesn’t know their affiliations and orders, or Rick Joyner is a bold face liar. Perhaps he’s ignorant and he doesn’t know. If that is true, let me ask you one question. If someone asks you to join something, don’t you investigate what it is about. Would Joyner have joined with Anton LeVey had he been invited without investigating that LeVey was founder of the Church of Satan. Whoa, was that something to consider or what? Years ago, right after I was saved in Yeshua my dad was approached by someone claiming to be part of the Illuminati. He didn’t even know what they’re all about. He went home and did some research and when he met with that man again he said, “thanks for your offer, but I’m not interested.” It would seem that my dad, a simple pipefitter, had more discernment than a supposed super prophet of the NAR.
The following really bothered me because it is so anti-biblical (yes, like his other stuff), but it shows his true motive:
My Bible says that all real believers are already Kings and Priests through Yeshua Ha Mashiach. He has created that nobility and he doesn’t need the likes of Rick Joyner to help him. Yes, I do agree that the Church is for the most part lukewarm, and yes I do agree that the Church needs to be revived, but I want the Ruach Ha Kodesh to do that, again, not the likes of Rick Joyner. Joyner has to know that the NAR in its own right has created its own nobility already, and it isn’t the Kingdom of Yahweh’s nobility. Yeshua was emphatic about the one who wants to be greatest to be the servant of the least. The NAR sets up apostles and prophets that want to take over the world for Yeshua. They feel that once they have created the perfect world they will present it to Yeshua as His Reward. Considering that Yeshua elaborated many times that the earth will almost utterly be destroyed, and that He will have to come back to save the world from mankind, it would almost make one think that what Joyner and the rest of the NAR have deceived themselves into believing IS the Beast System of the Great Tribulation, or a considerable part of it. What the NAR proposes is more like the “Five I Will’s of Lucifer” found in Isaiah 14:
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Isaiah 14:12-14
Now that we know that he is Masonic (although he denies it) and the higher degrees of the Masonic Order worship Lucifer, can you understand why Joyner would go against all that the Tanakh and Brit Hadasha say will be a horrible end of the world and would want to make it obedient to present to Jesus when he returns. Knowing that someone will come disguised as the real Yeshua makes me tend to think that Joyner and his band of Hybrids really don’t want to present the Earth to Yeshua Ha Mashiach, but perhaps to the Man of Perdition. Joyner is more in tune, when it comes to conquest to that Man of Perdition than he is to Yeshua. And notice also he only mentions the name of Jesus one time? Yes, the real Jesus (Yeshua) is the coming King, but he is Lord, Savior and Mashiach. Even Lucifer knows that Jesus is King.
Joyner and others like him tend to act super pious and even militant for God, but what god do they really serve. Joyner and his other Latter Rain cohorts have introduced doctrines of demons into the Church; and wouldn’t it figure that a lukewarm church would embrace what they are presenting. They are presenting people with power and authority that is not their to give out, but only comes from Yahweh. What they are doing is setting up something that could be considered a Charismatic Vatican that gives authority to a few and assigns the rest to drone status in the hive that they themselves are creating. They present the Kundalini spirit as the Ruach Ha Kodesh, false signs and wonders (remember Toronto and Brownsville), grave sucking of the Holy Spirit (necromancy) and sweeping false prophecies under the rug with a new doctrine of “sometimes you’re right, sometimes you’re wrong” when prophets blunder. These are not the ways of Yahweh Elohim, but the ways of his adversaries, and if Christians don’t wise up and seek Yahweh while He can be found, they’re going to be sucked even farther into this last day’s strong delusion.
Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Luke 18:8b
