Joshua Rosen is our son-in-law. Josh has a unique musical technique. Many artists’ music has the same sound to it, and to me, that’s boring. Josh’s songs are a variety of different styles. We even played one of his songs at our wedding. I would encourage you to click on both of the images below and check out his style. I pray you feel led to buy his albums. I know you will be blessed. Thanks in advance.
Inside My Skin is a folk album for young and old ears alike. Brought to release through the encouragement of a loyal local following, this work showcases modern complements to traditional song writing and delivers a timeless collection of songs from this new Pacific Northwest artist. Grassy reflections of Bob Dylan are detectable, while lo-fi alternative folk vibes akin to the likes of Damian Jurado and David Bazan are present. Joshua Rosen lives in Eugene Oregon, where he writes music for everyman. With depth of heart and a need for introspection, you’ll find yourself revealed in these songs as you navigate toward the intersection of joy and sorrow that is encapsulated by this debut album.
Illogical Affair is a project aimed at expressing the glory of God and how what is most glorious is also most illogical. Capturing the intimacy of my own relationship with Messiah, I journey from the introspective realm of faith and wrestling with Yahweh to the prophetic realm of how faith will manifest and what will come of His promises. The path can be rocky, it can be painful to live in such paradox, but hope remains as faith perseveres. I desire that these songs will resonate with you on your own journey, whether you’re already hidden in the Lamb or to serve as leading you to His dwelling place and to His feet. Ultimately He is faithful, and what lies ahead is sure to be triumphant.
