BEHOLD YOUR GOD

Words and Music by Jonathan Bernd
Arranged by Jonathan Bernd

Look up He’s coming, coming with the clouds,

And every eye shall see Him then,

Every tribe and tongue confess,

And bow before His name,

Trumpet calls announce the Son of Man.

The Lord will pour His Spirit out on Zion,

And they shall mourn the Pierced One,

Messiah, Son of David,

Has defeated death and sin,

The Lamb now sits ascended on the throne.

Chorus:

Behold your God and lift Him high,

Let your praises reach the sky,

That all the nations of the world,

Might come to know His grace,

 Might worship in His presence,

And bow before His face.

And with a shout, He’ll gather up His people,

And give us garments pure and white,

Together with the angels,

We will lift our voice in praise,

Our place assured forever in His light.

Chorus (3x)

Behold Your God!

PSALM 139

Words and music by Jeff Millenson
Arranged by Jeff and Amy Millenson

O Lord, You have searched me and known me,

You know my sitting and my rising,

O Lord, You know all my thoughts,

Even though I walk far away from you.

Behind and before You’ve enclosed me,

And laid Your hand upon me,

Such knowledge of Thee is too wonderful for me,

It is too high, I cannot attain it.

Chorus:

Search me, O God, and know my heart,

Try me and know my anxious thoughts,

See if there be any wicked way in me,

And lead me in the everlasting way.

Where could I god from Your Spirit?

Or where could I flee from Your presence?

In the heavens above could I hade from Your love,

Or in the depths of hell below me?

Surely the darkness will hide me,

The night will be heavy all around,

But the day and the night are both bright in Your sight,

And alike are they to Thee.

Chorus

You formed my inmost parts,

You made me in my mother’s womb,

I will give thanks to thee – in my own soul I see,

The wonders of Your works,

How precious are Your thoughts to me,

O Lord, how vast is their sum,

Like grains of sand they slip through my hand,

When I awake, I am still with thee!

Chorus (2x)

Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks,

Honor and power and strength,

Be to our God forever and ever,

Be to our God, amen!

You make me glad by Your deeds,

I sing for joy at the works of Your hands,

How great are Your works, O Lord,

How profound are Your thoughts.

Make me like a palm tree, my God,

That I may flourish in Your courts all my life,

And bear fruit even when I grow old,

You only are my rock!

THE GOD OF ABRAHAM

Words and music by Jeff Millenson
Arranged by Jeff Millenson

It was the Lord who summoned Abram

to a land he did not know,

And said, “To you and your descendants

my favor I will show,

I’ll be your strength, I’ll be your shield,

I’ll be the one who walks beside you,

And through you I will bless,

All the fam’lies of the earth!”

Chorus:

The God of Abraham,

He is a living God,

He is a saving God,

And I will praise Him!

For He has given me,

Abundant righteousness,

And He is faithful to His word!

“Take now your only son, your Isaac,

the one I’ve given thee,

And go ascend to Mount Moriah,

and offer him to Me.”

And so by faith he went forth,

Trusting in the great Provider,

And through the One who gave the lamb,

We share the faith of Abraham!

JONAH

(Jonah 2:2-7)
Words by Noah Cohen / Music by Robert Rose
Arranged by Noah Cohen and Robert Rose

You hurled me into the deep,

Into the heart of the seas,

All your waves and breakers swept over me,

I’ve been banished from your sight,

Yet I will look again to your temple,

The waters engulfed me and the deep surrounded me.

Chorus:

From the depths of the grave I called for help,

(and you heard my cry)

From the depths of the grave I called for help,

(and you listened to my voice)

I sank to the root of the mountains,

The earth barred me in,

But you brought my life up from the pit, O Lord.

Chorus

I sank to the root of the mountains,

The earth barred me in,

But you brought my life from the pit, O Lord.

My life was ebbing away, I remembered you;

My prayer rose to you,

I called you from the grave and you heard my cry,

And you heard my cry.

Chorus

From the depths of the grave I called for help,

(and you heard my cry),

From the depths of the grave,

(you answered my prayer)

SOLOMON’S PRAYER

(I Kings 8:56-61)
Words and music by Jeff Millenson
Arranged by Douglas Hanks and Jeff Millenson

May the Lord our God be with us,

As He was with our fathers,

May He never leave us nor forsake us,

May the Lord our God be near.

May we follow His commandments,

May they be our hearts’ delight,

may we walk in all His ways,

Even now and all of our days,

Serving him in love and fear.

So that all the people of the earth,

May know that you are the Lord,

There is no other God,

You alone are the Lord.

Let our hearts be undivided,

Wholly given to the Lord,

May the words you hear us say,

Come before you night and day,

Hear your people Israel.

Blessed be the Lord forever,

He who gives His people rest,

Everything He promised us,

Every word has come to pass,

For His love shall never fail.

And the people of the earth,

Will know that you are the Lord,

There is no other God,

You alone are the Lord.

May the Lord our God be with us,

As He was with our fathers,

May He never leave us nor forsake us,

May the Lord our God be near.

FORGET ME NOT

(Isaiah 43; Psalm 23)
Words and Music by Hannah Lentz

Do not forget me, O my children, says your God,

Do not forget me, O my children, says your God,

When you pass through the waters I will be with you,

When you pass through the rivers they will not sweep over you,

When you walk through the fire you will not be burned,

The flame will not set you ablaze.

Do not forget me, O my children, says your God,

Do not forget me, O my children, says your God,

Fear not for I have redeemed you,

And I have called you and you are mine.

Can you not feel me? Do you not know me?

Oh, won’t you understand that I am in your darkest hour,

Can you not feel me? Do you not know me?

Oh, won’t you understand that I am in your darkest hour.

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah

For I am the Lord your God,

The One of Israel, your Savior,

Can you not feel me? Do you not know me?

Oh, won’t you understand that I am in your darkest hour.

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah

Even though I walk through the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil for you are with me,

Your rod and your staff they comfort me,

Do not for me, O my children, says your God,

Do not forget me, O my children, says your God.

THIS IS JERUSALEM

Words and Music by Jonathan Sacks

I will go up to a city so new,

A city so old our fathers once knew.

It lives today forever to stay.

This is Jerusalem

I will go up, you will come with me,

Up to a land where we can be free.

Freedom to live, to laugh and rejoice,

This is Jerusalem

Chorus:

This is Jerusalem, city of hopes and dreams.

This is Jerusalem, forever life it brings.

Forever it will be, for all the world to see.

This is Jerusalem.

Jerusalem lives forever to be,

A light to the world all the nations shall see.

God’s mighty hand brings life to the Land.

This is Jerusalem.

From every nation people will come,

Up to the city, Jerusalem.

City of praise, city of joy.

This is Jerusalem

(Chorus)

This is the year that never would come.

It’s finally here and we’ve just begun.

We’ll go to the Land, together we’ll stand,

Here in Jerusalem.

From this moment we’ve waited, now it’s come,

And this year, we’ll meet in Jerusalem.

Together we’ll sing, we’ll laugh and rejoice.

This is Jerusalem.

My Messiah, King Y’suha.

You are the defender of truth and grace.

My Messiah, King Y’shua.

My Messiah, King Y’shua.

Lift your voices and sing unto the Lord on high.

King Messiah, coming in the clouds.

BRETHREN, MY HEART’S DESIRE

Words and Music by Sara Herndon and Jonathan Sacks

Chorus:

Brethren, my heart’s desire,

And prayer to the God of Israel,

Is that they might be saved, they might be saved

(2X)

I tell you the truth in Messiah,

Sorrow and grief fill my heart.

My people, my brethren are dying.

I could wish that I were lost,

That they might be found in Him.

(Chorus)

Searching for God in the Torah.

Doing the works of the Law.

Striving in vain to be righteous.

Not knowing they need only to trust in Him.

One day He’ll come out of Zion.

The one who was pierced, they will see.

Their hearts will turn to Messiah,

Their sins he’ll forgive,

Righteous they’ll live in Him.

LET US RETURN

Words and Music by Amer Olsen
And Stephen Katz

Chorus:

come, let us return unto the Lord.

Come, let us return unto the Lord.

For he has torn, and he will heal us.

He has smitten and he will bind us up again

After two days He will revive us.

On the third day He will raise us up.

And we shall live, we shall live in His sight.

(2X)

Then shall we know if we follow on to know the Lord.

His going forth is prepared as the morn.

And he shall come unto us as the rain,

As the former and the latter rain come down.

(Chorus)

Descant:

Jesus died for out sins,

And was buried and descended to the dead.

He was on the third day risen,

And He lives forevermore.

If you confess Jesus as Lord,

That God has raised Him up from the dead,

You shall be saved.

HOW SHALL I COME BEFORE THE LORD?

Words and Music by Stuart Dauermann

How shall I come before the Lord,

And bow in worship before the eternal God.

Shall I come bringing calves of thousands of rams.

Shall I offer for my sin my first born son.

Is there cleansing for my soul in ten thousand rivers of oil.

How shall I please the Holy One (2x)

He has shown you, oh man, what is good.

What does the Lord require of you.

But doing justly, loving mercy.

Walking humbly with the Lord your God.

Doing justly, loving mercy,

Walking humbly with the Lord your God.

PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM

They lyrics for this song have been removed by request of the song writer:

Shalom in Yeshua, please be so kind as to delete my song lyrics off your website – the song is entitled “Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem.”  This is the hyperlink to the lyrics on your website:  http://www.delusionresistance.org/christian/LWW/Jerusalem/jeru09.html

I therefore do not give you permission to post my lyrics on your website.  I am the sole owner of the lyrics as writer, music composer, and owner of the Myrig Music (ASCAP) publishing company.

Even though you may have a wonderful ministry, when people do an internet search of my name, your website is listed; and since I do not even know any of you, I would prefer you do not put my lyrics on your website.

Thank you for understanding and respecting my request.

———————————————–

Sorry folks that I had to remove the lyrics. They are beautiful lyrics and I know that you will miss them. The lyrics came from a Jews for Jesus album and I mistakenly thought that since I have their blessing to post their lyrics; and it was their album, that I could post the lyrics to this song. I pray for the day when people who receive freely from the Ruach Ha Kodesh will realize that what He gives He owns and on that day we’ll post all things that He gives and give Him the glory and honor that He deserves and is so often denied. But until that day, my hands are tied and I woefully honor their request. Sing the Psalms!!

ZION’S OPEN GATES

Words adapted from original Russian lyrics
Music by Nikolai Haskin

The Lord will redeem and bring His people home.

They will enter Zion with song.

The heartbreaks and sorrows of former years are done.

For we see Y’shua, the Lord’s anointed one.

Chorus:

Messiah will greet us at Zion’s open gates.

Our hearts will rejoice when we shall see His face.

He brings us a cup full of everlasting joy.

With dancing and singing our hearts will be restored.

The Lord will redeem and make His people see,

Salvation promised by His Word.

The kingdom has come: hallelujah, praise the Lord.

Our hearts are at rest, our prayers have been heard

(Chorus)

Oh come, Lord Y’shua, we long to see your face.

The day when all will praise and honor you.

When you’ll come and greet us at Zion’s open gates.

We’ll bow down in worship and honor you in truth.

Messiah will greet us at Zion’s open gates.

Our people will gather and see him face to face.

We’ll walk in your truth and live in harmony.

The day has arrived you’ve set your people free (3X)

From this day forth and forever more (Repeat)

The Lord is thy keeper; the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

The sun shall not smite thee by day,

Nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil;

He will preserve thy soul.

The Lord shall preserve thy going out and coming in,

From this day forth and forevermore.

We’ve been approved by God,

To be entrusted with the good news,

So the words that we speak,

Are not going to please men, but please our God.

He examines our hearts,

And He alone is worthy of our praise!

COME Y’SHUA

Words and Music by Jonathan Sacks

Come Y’shua, Y’shua come.

Hope for all ages is in the Son.

Come Y’shua, Y’shua come.

Come Y’shua, come.

(Repeat)

The prophets of old Messiah foretold.

The dead will rise first and we will meet our Lord.

Soon He will come, God’s righteous One.

We will live with Him forevermore

(Chorus)

The prophets of old Messiah foretold.

He’ll appear and Israel will see,

The nail prints in His hands,

They’ll mourn throughout the Land;

Cleansed, restored for all eternity.

(Chorus)

The prophets of old Messiah foretold;

He will rule the earth as Lord and King.

Forever He’ll reign, we’ll all praise His name.

Let us lift our hearts to Him and sing.

Let us sing!

Y’SHUA’S NAME

© 1982, Mitch Glaser

The blind men see, and the lame men walk.

In Y’shua’s name.

The dead are raised and sorrow turns to praise.

In Y’shua’s name.

Chorus:

Y’shua, Y’shua, Messiah He has come,

To live an die and rise again,

To save His people from their sins, Hallelujah.

To save His people from their sins.

Demons flee and captives are set free,

In Y’shua’s name.

Mercy’s found and the grace of God abounds,

In Y’shua’s name.

Chorus

There’ll come a day when every knee shall bow,

To Y’shua’s name.

So call upon the God of Jacob now,

In Y’shua’s name.

MIGHTY TO SAVE

© 1982 Stuart Dauermann

He’ll give you strength to go on,

When you feel you’re gonna stumble.

He’ll be your shelter and rock,

When the mountains crumble.

When earth and sky fade away,

He’ll turn your night into day.

Wherever you are Hell be there,

Mighty to save.

He’ll make your life over new,

If you’ll just receive Him.

You’ll find his promises true,

But you must believe Him.

You’ll find that every day,

He’s working in His own way.

He’ll always be there when you need him.

Mighty to save.

CREATE IN ME

© 1982 Mitch Glaser

Create in me a clean heart, O God.

And renew my spirit within me.

Cast me not from Thy presence, Lord.

Take not Thy Spirit from me.

Restore to me the joy of Thy salvation.

Uphold me with Thy willing Spirit,

And I will teach Thy ways to Israel,

And many will return to Thee.

Be gracious unto me in Thy lovingkindness.

Blot my transgressions out by Thy great compassion.

O, cleanse me, Lord, from mine iniquity,

And I shall be pure before Thee.

Wash me, Lord, and I’ll be whiter than snow.

Cleanse me, O Lord

.

I WILL PRAISE THEE

© 1982 Stuart Dauermann

I will praise Thee, O Lord my God.

I will praise Thee, with all my heart.

I will sing praises to Thy name.

And my enemies will all be turned away.

They who know Thy name will put their trust in Thee.

Lord You won’t forsake Your people who see Thee.

Sing praises to the Lord, who in Mount Zion dwells.

Go among the people and tell, tell, tell.

Go and tell the praises of the Lord.

.

LET US EXALT HIS NAME TOGETHER

© 1982 Stuart Dauermann

At all times I will bless Him, His praise will be in my mouth.

My soul makes its boast in the Lord.

The humble man will hear of Him, the afflicted will be glad,

And join with me to magnify the Lord.

Chorus:

Let us exalt His name together, forever.

I sought the Lord, He heard me and delivered me from my fears.

Let us exalt His name together, forever.

O sing His praises, magnify the Lord.

The angel of the Lord encamps ’round those who fear His Name,

To save them and deliver them from harm.

Tho’ lion roar with hunger, we lack for no good thing.

No wonder then we praise Him with our song.

Chorus

Come children now and hear me, if you would see long life,

Just keep our lips from wickedness and lies.

Do good and turn from evil, seek peace instead of strife,

Love righteousness and God will hear your cry.

Chorus (2x)

.

MAY ALL WHO LIVE

THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

© 1982 Stuart Dauermann

Beyond the Jordan in Galilee, a shining Light appeared.

For sickness he brought healing, and joy instead of fear.

For bondage He gave freedom, for hatred He gave love.

His name is Jesus, the true Light from above.

The people in darkness have seen a holy LIght.

The gloom has turned to brightness and the blind receive their sight.

He’s multiplied the nation and added to our joy.

And we’re rejoicing like men dividing spoil.

Chorus:

He’s the Light of the World,

He’s the Light of the World.

We stumbled in darkness,

Now we’re walking in the light.

He’s the Light of the World, He’s the Light.

The Lord has called Messiah, yea, even from His birth,

To gather Jacob’s children, from each corner of the earth.

His standard is uplifted and His ensign is unfurled,

That all might honor Him, the King of all the world.

His house shall be exalted and in the latter days,

He’ll judge among the nations and He’ll  teach them of His ways.

Their swords will be refashioned, for peace instead of might,

Come house of Jacob, lets walk in the Light.

Chorus

The Lord is coming quickly, He’s the faithful one and true.

The Alpha and Omega who’ll make all things new.

And in the New Jerusalem, the city foursquare,

There’ll be no Temple, for Jesus will be there.

The saved of all the nations will walk in its light.

The kings will bring their glory and their splendor and their might.

You can live there also, if you’re in the Book of Life.

So come receive Him, for Jesus is the Light.

Chorus

.

THE LORD THE KING OF GLORY

© 1982 Janie-Sue Wertheim

Let’s sing a song of triumph to Jesus our King.

The Lord the King of Glory rules o’er everything.

The Lord is mighty in battle,

And glorious in majesty.

Has designed to dwell with us below,

His coming has made us free.

Y’shua came as a servant,

To redeem and heal and bless.

And every knee shall bow to Him,

And every tongue confess.

Y’SHUA HAMASHIACH

© 1982 Stuart Dauermann

Y’shua HaMashiach has come to Israel.

Moses and the prophets described Him very well.

If you’re looking for the Father, you’ll find Him in the Son.

Yes, Y’shua is God’s Anointed One (He’s the one).

Y’shua is God’s Anointed One.

Moses spoke to Israel.

He said, Some day there’ll be,

A prophet from among you,

Who’ll speak for God like me.

SO hear me now and hear Him then,

For God will speak to thee.

Thru Y’shua, obey Him when He comes (when He comes)

Y’shua is God’s Anointed One.

Long before Y’shua came,

To live upon the earth.

The prophet Micah had proclaimed,

The city of His birth.

In Bethlehem of Judah,

He’ll be born of David’s seed.

And ruler of Israel He’ll be (yes indeed)

Ruler of Israel He’ll be.

Isaiah said Messiah,

Would be King on David’s throne.

Though He would be the Son of Man,

He’d not be man alone.

He’s Wonder, He’s counselor,

The Mighty God is He.

Forever His kingdom will increase (It is He)

Y’shua the righteous Prince of Peace.

The prophets wrote that He would die,

To take away our sins.

They said that He’d be crucified,

And that He’d rise again.

It’s written in Psalm Twenty-two,

And Isaiah Fifty-three,

That Y’shua would die for you and me (come and see)

The prophets predicted it would be.

.

HOLY! HOLY! HOLY!

Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty.

Early in the morning, our song shall rise to Thee.

Holy, Holy, Holy, merciful and mighty.

God in three Persons, Blessed Trinity.

Chorus:

Kadosh, kadosh, kadosh,

Adonai Tz’vaot

Kadosh, kadosh, kadosh,

Adonai Tz’vaot

Holy Holy Holy, all the saints adore Thee.

Casting down their golden crowns beside the crystal sea.

Cherubim and seraphim, falling down before Thee.

Who wert and art and evermore shalt be.

Chorus

Holy, Holy, Holy, tho’ the darkness hide Thee.

Tho’ the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see.

Only Thou art holy, there is none beside Thee.

Perfect in power, in love and purity.

Chorus

Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty.

All Thy works shall praise Thy Name in earth and sky and sea.

Holy, Holy, Holy, merciful and mighty.

God in Three Persons, Blessed Trinity

VINEYARD SONG

Words adapted from Isaiah 5:1-7
By Stuart Dauermann
Music by Stuart Dauermann

Chorus:

Baruch Atah Adonai Elohenu

Melech haolam boray p’ri hagofen. Amen

Translation:

(Blessed are Thou, O Lord God, King of the
universe, who createst the fruit of the vine.)

My beloved had a vineyard,

On a very fertile hill.

He worked and cleared the stones away,

The land was good to till.

He built a wine vat in its midst,

And planted it with vines.

He looked for it to yield good grapes,

That He might drink the wind.

Chorus

But as the fruit mature He saw,

How wild the grapes became.

Although He loved and cared for them,

The vines would not be tamed.

Why children of Jerusalem,

Did not the harvest yield.

What more could my Beloved do,

To tend His wasted field.

——

The keeper of the vineyard,

The Lord of Hosts is He.

The vineyard is His people,

O tell me can’t you see,

That He was seeking righteousness,

And justice for his wine.

 Instead He found iniquity,

Was hanging on the vine.

Chorus

Oh you who seek the Lord today,

The lesson still holds true.

For what he sought of Israel,

He still requires of you.

O walk with Him in righteousness,

And be a fruitful vine.

And press your life into His hands,

That He might drink the wine.

.

DAVID’S HOPE

Words adapted from Psalms 42, 134
By Stuart Daurmann
Music by Stuart Dauermann

As a deer seeks a stream,

So my soul pants for Thee.

Day and night tears are my food,

While men say, “Where’s your God?”

I remember and pour our my heart,

How I worshiped in the house of my God.

Now the shouting is gone with the crowd.

All alone I cry out loud.

Though I’m far Lord from Thee.

Though thy waves cover me.

Though my foes mock my pain.

Yet I know I’ll praise Your Name

As a deer seeks a stream,

So my soul pants for Thee.

Day and night tears are my food,

While men say, “Where’s your God?”

Why are you cast down,

O my soul, O my soul,

And why are you disturbed within me?

Hope in God for I shall yet praise Him.

For the help for the help of His presence.

Hope in God and I shall yet praise Him.

The Lifter of my countenance is He.

Why are you cast down,

Oh my soul, O my soul,

And why are you disturbed within me?

Behold, bless the Lord,

All of you servants of the Lord.

Who stand by night,

In the house of the Lord.

Lift up your hands in the sanctuary,,

And praise the Lord, praise the Lord.

The Lord who made heaven and earth.

Will bless you out of Zion, praise the Lord.

Behold, bless the Lord,

All of you servants of the Lord.

Who stand by night,

In the house of the Lord.

Why are you cast down O my soul?

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!

By Steffi Greiser Rubin. Music by Stuart Dauermann

Chorus:

Behold I come as it is written in the Book

Behold I come to do Thy will O God.

Sacrifice and offering,

Thou hast not desired.

Behold I come to give my life,

The offering required.

Y’shua to give His life,

A sacrifice for sin.

He took away a covenant,

And brought a better one in.

Chorus

And now He sits at the Father’s hand,

The sacrifice is made.

There’s no more need for offering,

The final price is paid.

HINENI

Words and music by Stuart Dauermann

Abraham our father, answered his Hineni,

When the Lord commanded him to offer up his son.

He took the wood and fire, and journeyed to Moriah,

And there he built an altar to complete what he’d begun.

Chorus:

Hineni, Hineni, Hineni,

Hineni, Hineni, Adonai.

Hineni mean I’m ready Lord,

Hineni means I’ll go.

Hineni means I’m listening Lord:

Tell me Lord what you would have me know.

Moses was in Midian, laboring as a shepherd.

He saw upon the mount of God a bush that was aflame.

‘Twas there the Lord commanded, that he deliver Israel,

From Egypt’s darkness to freedom’s brighter day.

Chorus

Isaiah was a prophet, standing in the Temple,

He saw a vision of the Lord, lifted up and high.

He saw himself as lowly, when he saw the Lord so holy.

And when a voice said, “who will go?” He answered “Here am I.”

Chorus

As God spoke to our fathers, He’s speaking to their children.

He spoke then through the prophets, now He’s speaking through His Son.

In Torah and Navi’im, the eye of faith can see Him.

If you accept Y’shua, your life will have begun

Translations:

Hineni means “hear am I.”

Adonai means Lord

Torah means Law

Navi’im means Prophets

Y’shua means Jesus

.

O COME

Words adapted from Psalm 95
By Stuart Dauermann
Music by Stuart Dauermann

Chorus:

O come and let us sing,

Come let us sing unto the Lord.

Make a joyful noise to Him,

The rock of our salvation is He.

Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving.

Let us make a joyful noise unto Him with songs of praise.

For the Lord is a great God and a great King.

He is King above all others,

O let us sing of His praises.

Chorus

In His hands are the depths of the earth,

And the mountains are His.

Yes, the sea is also His,

For His hands formed the dry land.

O come and worship,

Kneel before our maker.

He is our God and we are His people.

We are the sheep of His hand.

Chorus

Our fathers in the wilderness,

Wandered for forty years.

They doubted God would keep His word,

And instead of faith, chose fear.

Today if you hear His voice,

Do not harden your hearts.

Now’s the time – make your choice,

To serve the Lord your God.

.

FOR GOD SO LOVED

Words adapted from John 3:16,17; John 1:11,12
By Stuart Dauermann; Music by Stuart Dauermann

For God so loved the world that He gave,

His only begotten son.

That whosoever believes in Him, should not perish,

But have life everlasting, have life everlasting,

Have life everlasting, have life everlasting.

For God so loved the world that He gave,

His only begotten Son

For God did not send His Son into the world,

To bring condemnation,

But rather that through receiving Him,

Men might find true salvation.

And have life everlasting, have life everlasting,

Have life everlasting, have life everlasting.

For God so loved the world that He gave,

His only begotten Son.

He came into the world, and He dwelt among His own,

But His own, they would not receive Him.

But power to become the sons of God,

He gave to all who believe Him.

He, gave life everlasting, gave life everlasting,

His life everlasting, His life everlasting.

For God so loved the world that He gave,

His only begotten Son.

Translation:

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
With the Lord on my side I do not fear. What can man do to me?
For the Law was given through Moses; Grace and truth came through
Jesus Christ. Jesus Said….”I am the resurrection and the life; he who
believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.”

.

PSALM 23

Words adapted from Psalm 23
By Stuart Dauermann
Music by Stuart Dauermann

The Lord’s my shepherd I’ll not want,

In pastures green I lie.

He leadeth me by waters still,

The quiet waters by.

My soul He doth restore again.

In righteous paths He leads.

Even for the sake of His own Name,

Even for his own Name’s sake.

Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil for Thou are with me.

Thy rod and staff they comfort me.

A table Thou dost prepare in the presence of my foes.

My head with oil Thou dost anoint and my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me,

All the days of my life.

And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Amen

HE IS NOT HERE

Words adapted from Matthew 28; John 20
By Stuart Dauermann. Music by Stuart Dauermann

Chorus:

He is not here He is risen.

See the tomb where He lay.

Jesus the Messiah conquered death on Easter day.

He is not here He is risen.

Don’t be lookin’ in the ground.

He’s coming back,

When the final trumpet sounds

Mary Magdelena came with Salome,

Carrying some spices to the tomb where He lay.

They thought that they’d find Jesus lying cold and dead.

Instead they found an angel who said:

Chorus

Thomas the Apostle said, “It isn’t true!”

“I’ll have to see some evidence before I’ll think like you.”

One day the Lord approached him and said, “Behold my wounds!”

Now even Tom can point back to the tomb.

Chorus

Like all the apostles we stand here to proclaim.

That you can find forgiveness by believing in His name.

Accept Him as your Savior, obey Him as your Lord.

And join us as we spread the joyous word.

Chorus

MORNING STAR

Words adapted from 2 Peter 1:19, 1 Corinthians 13:12
By Stuart Dauermann. Music by Stuart Dauermann

Hallelujah, hallelujah….

Take heed to the word of the Lord.

It’s like a light that shines in the dark,

Until the dawning of the day when the shadows flee away.

And the morning star arises in our hearts,

Till the morning star arises in our hearts.

Hallelujah, hallelujah…

When Messiah comes again,

He will fill the world with light.

What was faith will then be sight.

When Y’shua comes again,

We will know as we are known, but until then.

We have the sure word of the Lord.

It’s like a light that shines in the dark.

Until the dawning of the day,

When the shadows flee away.

And the morning star arises in our hearts,

Till the morning star arises in our hearts.

ABRAHAM

Genesis 15, 22

I’m a twice-born child of Abraham.

In the covenant God made with him.

I thank God for the faithfulness of Abraham.

He taught me how to live, believing in my God.

See him standing there a desert man.

See him gazing at the skies.

Hear the Lord saying,

So shall your descendants be.

As countless as the stars, like the sand upon the shore.

Chorus:

Abraham, covenant man,

Trusting in the promises of God.

Abraham, covenant man,

He taught me how to live, believing in God.

See him climbing Mount Moriah now.

Se him binding Isaac there.

Hear him cry as he lifts the knife to slay his son.

The angel stays his hand, and points him to the ram.

.

LORD YOU ARE OUR LIFE

Lord you are our life, you are our joy, you are our song,

You are our king, that’s why we sing our song of praise to you.

Though trouble may surround us your arms are still around us.

Trusting your name we find the strength to carry on.

Though the devil seeks to harm us,

We will not give way to fear.

With his lies he won’t alarm us.

For we know that you are near.

Though a host encamp against us,

Still we will not be afraid.

For we know you will defend us.

And your power will be displayed.

And that is why we just wanna say.

Lord, you are our life, you are our joy, you are our song.

You are our king, that’s why we sing our song of praise to you.

Though trouble may surround us your arms are still around us.

Trusting your name we find the strength to carry on.

We’ll carry on…..

.

THE LORD IS MY LIGHT AND SALVATION

Lyrics adapted from Psalm 27

The Lord is my light and salvation,

Of whom then shall I be afraid.

The Lord is my help and protection,

Of whom then shall I be in dread.

I know in the day of my trouble,

He will hasten and answer my cry.

While enemy hosts fall and stumble,

He will strengthen my hand on a rock I will stand.

And my head will be lifted high.

Chorus:

One thing I have I asked of the Lord my Savior,

And that alone will I seek.

To dwell in His courts forever,

And to fall in worship at His feet.

When father and mother forsake me,

You are father and mother and friend.

Though enemies rise up against me,

I will live and rejoice as I lift up my voice.

And in confidence I will call on your name.

THE SEASONS OF OUR LOVE

We were two, now we’re one

Life is new, it’s just begun.

We’re together never to be parted.

Let them say I’m naive, I wear my heart on my sleeve.

How can I help it when your life is joined to mine.

Let’s remember this is the springtime of our love.

When summer’s heat makes love’s blossoms fade and die.

Through the heat and through the pain we’ll renew our love again.

I’ll always love you through the seasons of our love.

Take the time to recall springtime’s promise in the fall.

We’ll grow older, maybe wiser, maybe colder.

As the seasons turn around summers leaves will all turn brown.

Life will change us but our promises remain.

Let’s remember this is the springtime of our love,

When we’re surrounded by death’s footsteps in the snow, don’t go.

There’s a place here by me, and there always will be.

I’ll always love you through the seasons of our love.

And when time has reached its goal,

And the Lord is all in all,

We’ll discover a season without ending,

With the nations gathered home,

We will sing the endless song,

Praising Jesus the Lord of time for evermore.

And we’ll never miss the springtime of our love.

For we’ll have found a love far deeper than we knew.

But till then while seasons turn.

Take my hand and my love and learn,

How much I love you through the seasons of our love.

ECHAD

Words adapted from Scripture
Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Timothy 2:5; Mark 12; Ephesians 4)

There’s only one God and blest be his name.

He gave his own Son to stand in our place.

Atoning for sin revealing his grace.

He alone is the Holy One.

A scribe came one day to ask of the Lord,

Which of our laws is the greatest of all.

Y’shua replied, “Hear Israel,

The Lord our God is one”

Chorus:

Echad, echad

Sh’ma Y’israel Adonai elohenu Adonai echad,

He is one, the Lord is one.

Hear Israel, the Lord our God the Lord is one.

One body, one spirit, one hope of our call.

One Lord and one faith, one baptism for us all.

Our Father our God over all and through all.

And in Him we are all one.

Echad, echad

Sh’ma Y’israel Adonai elohenu Adonai echad,

He is one, the Lord is one.

Hear Israel, the Lord our God the Lord is one.

How three can be one is a mystery it’s true.

As a man and wife are one flesh not two.

United are we with Messiah our groom.

And in him we all are one.

TODAY I AM A  MAN

Words by Gina Ciavolino Moss and Stuart Dauermann
Music by Stuart Dauermann

Oy gevalt it’s getting late,

All this food is on my plate.

I should try to but I cannot eat a bite,

Mama says if I’m to grow

(and she says that she should know)

Then I should eat my food and not put up a fight.

But today is the beginning of the world for me.

It’s the day I have to do the best I can.

Yesterday, if as they say, I was a little boy,

Then today, today I am a man.

Yesterday if as we say you were a little boy,

Then today, today you are a man.

Now the time is getting near,

And all the relatives are here,

And they pinch my cheek,

And they tell me how I’ve grown,

And they ask what are my plans,

And how it feels to be a man,

And if tomorrow I’ll extend them a loan.

My little brother wants to know,

If I’ll come out and play.

But I had to tell him I don’t think I can.

Yesterday I would have gone,

Without a second thought.

But I can’t today, cause I’m a man.

Yester you would have gone without a second thought,

But you can’t today, cause you’re a man.

I’m as nervous as can be,

And I hope no one can see,

That I’m literally shaking like a leaf.

Now the Torah is unrolled.

And my name is being called.

And I’m thinking that my speech is much too brief.

All my friends and all my relatives are smiling now.

And my parents are as proud as they can be.

Yesterday I looked to them just like a little boy.

But today, the man they see is me.

Yesterday you looked to us just like a little boy,

But today…………….

Many years have come and gone,

Tho’ it doesn’t seem that long.

Since I celebrated my bar mitzvah day.

Now my son is near the time,

When he too must learn his lines.

And with nervousness rehearse the words he’ll say.

Yet it comforts him to know that in Jerusalem,

A bar mitzvah boy confounded older men.

For now like me he’s found Y’shua.

And believes in him.

And he approaches his bar mitzvah born again.

PERFECT PEACE

Words adapted from Isaiah 26:3,4

The Lamb of God’s a lion,

Who roars to summon you.

To follow where he’s leading, though others are untrue.

The yoke he gives is easy, but the path is often hard.

Yet the Lamb provides the power for those who follow God.

Chorus:

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,

Whose mind is stayed on Thee.

Thou will keep him in perfect peace,

Because he trusts in Thee.

The Lamb is leading onward, so count the world as loss.

On your way to coronatio0n don forget your cross.

Press on and if you stumble, we’re here to help you stand,

Cause we’re family together, within the Father’s hand.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,

Whose mind is stayed on thee.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,

Because he trusts in Thee.

Trust in the Lord forever,

In the Lord is lasting strength.

Walk in his ways and wait for him.

Fall upon his Name.

I SING UNTO MY BRIDE /
OUR LOVE IS STRONGER THAN DEATH

Song of Solomon 2:8
Words and Music by Mitch Glaser /
Words and Music by Stuart Dauerman

I sing unto my bride, the one whom God has giv’n me

The fairest one out of Israel is my bride to me, is my bride to me.

As your beauty grows ever before my eyes.

As we grow to know the love that God provides.

As our hearts unite, strengthened by His might,

Lover, delight of my soul, my bride.

My soul I give to you, my life to be one with you.

A friend to shatter all your fears I will be to you, I will be to you.

Though the world press hard, I will cling to you.

Though the days grow cold, my warmth shall comfort you.

As we stand as one ever before our King,

Help us, O Father, we pray, be our shield.

Till the day breaks and the shadows flee away,

My beloved is mind and I am his alone.

I have sought him through the dark and lonely night.

Now that I’ve found him I will never let him go.

Our love is stronger than death, it reaches to the grave.

It burns like blazing fire and like a mighty flame.

No waters can quench our love.

No rivers cause it to stay.

If all the wealth of the world were mine,

I would not send my love away.

O my darling, my beloved one arise,

For the winter is past, the rains have come and gone.

Smell the blossoms, hear the cooing of the dove.

Ah, the season of our love ht last has come.

.

KADDISH

Words adapted from traditional Jewish liturgy.

Magnify and Sanctify his Name,

For by his word the universe was framed.

When no star as yet was born,

Nor was any creature formed.

He reigned alone in majesty, the King of all eternity.

O magnify and sanctify his Name

Chorus:

Yitgadal  v’yitkadash  sh’mei  rabbah

O praise his holy Name forevermore.

His kingdom comes with righteousness and peace,

Creation will experience release.

Then the curse will be removed,

As all nature is renewed.

The nations will be gathered in,

His people will be free from sin.

O magnify and sanctify his Name.

May lasting peace from heaven be revealed,

For us and all the house of Israel.

When the pierced one returns,

And the house of David mourns.

To recognize the Son of Man,

Who came and now has come again.

O magnify and sanctify the Name.

Blessed praised and glorified be He,

Both now and throughout all eternity.

Through our words be weak and lame,

We will magnify his Name.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow,

Praise him all creatures here below,

O magnify and sanctify his Name.

Praise Him above ye heav’nly host,

Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

O magnify and sanctify his Name

The text of this song is based on thematic material found in the ancient Jewish prayer known as “Kaddish.” It is a doxology which exists in five different forms within the Jewish liturgy. The version found here is a sixth form which takes themes found in the traditional Mourner’s Kaddish  and expands upon them from the composer’s perspective as a Jewish believer in Yeshua (Jesus). The melody of the chorus is traditional.

FOR GOD SO LOVED

Words Adapted from John 3:16,17; John 1:11,12
By Stuart Dauermann
Words by Stuart Dauermann

VINEYARD SONG

Words and Music By Stuart Dauermann
Based on Isaiah 5:1-7

Chorus:

Baruch Atah Adonai Elohenu

Melech haolam boray p’ri hagofen. Amen

Translation:

(Blessed are Thou, O Lord God, King of the
universe, who createst the fruit of the vine.)

My beloved had a vineyard,

On a very fertile hill.

He worked and cleared the stones away,

The land was good to till.

He built a wine vat in its midst,

And planted it with vines.

He looked for it to yield good grapes,

That He might drink the wind.

Chorus

But as the fruit mature He saw,

How wild the grapes became.

Although He loved and cared for them,

The vines would not be tamed.

Why children of Jerusalem,

Did not the harvest yield.

What more could my Beloved do,

To tend His wasted field.

——

The keeper of the vineyard,

The Lord of Hosts is He.

The vineyard is His people,

O tell me can’t you see,

That He was seeking righteousness,

And justice for his wine.

 Instead He found iniquity,

Was hanging on the vine.

Chorus

Oh you who seek the Lord today,

The lesson still holds true.

For what he sought of Israel,

He still requires of you.

O walk with Him in righteousness,

And be a fruitful vine.

And press your life into His hands,

That He might drink the wine.

O JERUSALEM

Words and music by Steffi Geiser Rubin and Rich Robinson
Based on Matthew 23:37-39

O Jerusalem, thou that stonest them,

I have sent to thee.

O Jerusalem, the blood of godly men,

Cries from the midst of thee.

O Jerusalem, O Jerusalem,

Have you no eyes to see;

That I so often would have gathered you unto me,

As a hen doth gather her chicks close her.

But ye would not – But ye would not.

O Jerusalem, thy children shall be gone,

Thy house shall barren be.

O Jerusalem, I’ll not be back again,

Till ye shall say to me:

Blessed be he who comes,

In the name of the Lord.

Blessed be he who comes,

In the name of the Lord.

Baruch haba bashem Adonai!

LOOK UP!

Words by Susan Perlman

A Prophet, like your Moses he’ll be – Hallelujah!

From your own brothers the Mighty One shall come,

Listen to His Holy Words – Hallelujah!

Chorus:

Look up, He’s coming!

Coming in the clouds!

Every eye shall see (the Lord of Glory)

Tell all the people,

The people of the earth,

Every eye shall see!

The Lord your God said unto my Lord,

“Come and sit at my right hand,” – Hallelujah!

For He has sworn and promised to my Lord,

Forever a priest you’ll be – Hallelujah.

(Chorus)

“The end of day is coming,” declares the Lord of Hosts;

“The King of Kings shall reign,” – Hallelujah!

“His arm of grace extended to rule forevermore;

Judah shall be saved!” – Hallelujah!

PASSOVER LAMB

Words and Music by Stuart Dauermann

Pharaoh had us all enslaved, laboring in his land,

The Lord God heard our cry and freed us by His hand.

And by the blood of the pure and spotless Lamb,

We’re free, we are all set free.

Passover Lamb’s blood upon the door,

Forming a cross to seal us from death’s jaw.

And by the blood of the pure and spotless Lamb,

We’re free, we are all set free.

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,

God of Abram,

Thank you for the Lamb.

God gave us Israel, but we turned away.

God gave the Law to us, but we disobeyed.

God gave His only Son to come and set us free:

We’re free, we are all set free.

Yes we all did turn away, and we all were lost,

So we took a perfect Lamb and nailed Him to a cross.

And by the blood of the pure and spotless Lamb,

We’re free, we are all set free.

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,

God of Isaac,

Thank you for the Lamb

Three days He lay, then Jesus did rise,

So all who will believe, never have to die.

And by the blood of the pure and spotless Lamb,

We’re free, we are all set free.

Passover Lamb’s, blood upon the door,

Forming a cross, to seal us from death’s jaw.

And by the blood, of the pure and spotless Lamb,

We’re free, we are all set free.

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,

God of Jacob,

Thank you for the Lamb

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,

God of Israel,

Thank you for the Lamb

Music by Steffi Geiser Rubin and Rich Robinson

Unto the hills I will lift up mine eyes,

From whence does my help come?

My help cometh from the Lord,

Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not suffer they foot to move,

He will not slumber nor sleep.

He that keeps watch over Israel,

Never shall slumber nor sleep.

Sun shall not smite thee by the day,

Nor the moon, the moon by night.

God shall preserve thee from evil’s way.

He shall preserve thy soul.

The Lord shall preserve thy going out,

And thy coming in.

Even for now and from this time forth,

Even forevermore.

HALLELUJAH

Words and Music by
Steffi Geiser Rubin and Stuart Dauermann

There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus,

Whose Spirit has freed us from sin and death.

When the law could not save us,

In mercy God gave us His Son,

As an offering to pay our debt

Hallelujah, hallelujah,

Hallelujah, hallelujah

So, indebted to Him, by His Spirit within,

We’re an offering to give Him in thankfulness:

Take our bodies and our minds,

And we willingly bind them,

With love, to the altar of holiness.

Hallelujah, hallelujah,

Hallelujah, hallelujah

So we thank Thee O Lord,

For the love and accord,

You have given your people, Through all the earth;

That, though different we be,

By your Spirit we’re free,

To grow in the fullness of our new birth.

Hallelujah, hallelujah,

Hallelujah, hallelujah

TREES OF THE FIELD

Steffi Geiser-Rubin
Music by Stuart Dauermann

You shall go out with joy,

And be led forth with peace.

The mountains and the hills,

Will break forth before you.

They’ll be shouts of joy,

And all the trees of the field,

Will clap, will clap their hands.

And all the trees of the field,

Will clap their hands.

The trees of the field,

Will clap their hands.

The trees of the field,

Will clap their hands,

While you go out with joy.

TRADITION

Words by Steffi Geiser Rubin
Music Arranged by Stuart Dauermann

This is a Jews for Jesus version of a song from
‘Fiddler On The Roof.” Listen to, “Tradition,” and learn
the struggles of those Jews who profess faith in Christ.
In it, a young Jewish Christian relates to family members
who react to his faith.

A Jew for Jesus; sounds crazy right?

Well, maybe to some, but it’s true

And it’s not always easy being a Jew for Jesus.

Some people don’t know, they don’t even want to understand.

Why, I’ve been standing here for two and a half hours, handing out my pamphlets.

And in that time, I’ve been called “traitor,” “fanatic,” “crazy,” and much worse.

Why, one guy even tore a pamphlet up into tiny little pieces,

After reading only the title; twenty four pieces to be exact.

Four of them fell on my cap, four on my shoes,

But I believe that God can reach even that guy.

Now, you might ask me why I’m standing out here like this,

Handing out my pamphlets?

Well, I’ll tell you, it’s because I believe God has called me,

To be a witness for him, to my people.

And if you’re wondering what the Jewish community thinks about all this?

I can tell you that in just one word.

Tradition, tradition, tradition

Tradition, tradition, tradition.

Take my family for example; my mother, God bless her,

Has been having a very difficult time understanding me lately.

She doesn’t seem to realize that a real Christian is Born Again.

So now she calls me, “my son, the Gentile!”

That’s all she knows. She thinks that all Gentiles are Christians,

She confuses the Pharaoh and the Pope.

Billy Gram and Billy Carter.

To my mom, they all fall into one category, “them.”

To here there’s us and them.

Us, being the Jews, and now she thinks I’ve become a them.

“How could you cause me so much aggravation,

Don’t you know the Christians murdered all the Jews?

Hitler, the Pope, the Communistic nations,

And now you tell me you’re one too, oy!”

Tradition, tradition, tradition,

Tradition, tradition, tradition

My father is the best Certified Public Accountant in all of Brooklyn,

Well, before I was five, he taught me to do,

Three place multiplication tables – in my head.

He was hoping when I graduated from business school,

That we’d go into partnership together,

I guess I disappointed him when I told him,

That I thought God wanted me to spread His word.

So now he calls me, “my son, the preacher.”

Coming from him, that’s not exactly a compliment.

I tried to explain, but he only says, “it’s tradition,

for a son to follow in the footsteps of his father.”

“I even had a sign all made, says Moskowitz and Son,

But now you’ve picked a different trade; you preach the Gospel?”

Tradition, tradition, tradition,

Tradition, tradition, tradition

My crazy sister Sheila goes from one thing to another.

Why, just this year, she’s been involved in transcendental meditation seminars,

Yoga classes, astrology sessions, palmistry reading, flying lessons,

Ecology fieldtrips, and all of them sponsored by the Jewish Community Center.

She thinks I’m narrow minded and intolerant,

So now she calls me, “My brother, the fanatic.”

According to her, it’s Jewish tradition to be liberal and open minded.

My sister Sheila is so open minded, that one of these days,

Her brains are going to fall out.

“How can you be so very narrow minded?

Do you mean to tell me there is just one way?

Try meditation, Yoga helps you find that we will make it all one day.”

Tradition, tradition, tradition,

Tradition, tradition, tradition

But then there’s my little brother, David.

He’s been going to Hebrew school for four years now; smart as a whip too.

When I told him about Jesus, he went straight,

To the Rabbi to ask him some questions.

But the Rabbi only said, “Ach David, behave yourself. Jesus is not for the Jews.”

But you know, I don’t think that answer satisfied David,

He’s been acting very strangely, and behaving very quietly.

I wonder, could God be getting through to him?

“It sounds like what he’s saying just might possibly be true.

But how can I believe in it, and still remain a Jew?”

Tradition, tradition, tradition,

Tradition, tradition, tradition

Some people might say that I’m a Jew who’s broken with tradition.

Well, that may be true, but I am a Jew;

A Jew who’s returned to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

(All opposing views sung together)

Tradition, Tradition………

Sometimes, it’s a lonely life, being a Jew for Jesus.

But I know that there is someone who will be with me, always.

PSALM 103

Words Adapted by Stuart Dauermann
Music by Stuart Dauermann

Chorus:

Bless the Lord my soul, and all that is within me,

Bless His holy name.

Bless the Lord my soul, forget not all His goodness.

Bless His holy name.

He pardons all your iniquities,

He healeth all of your diseases.

He redeems you from the grave,

And crowns you with lovingkindness.

He satisfies your desire for good,

And He renews your strength,

O Bless the Lord my soul.

The Lord performs His righteous deeds,

His justice for all who are oppressed.

(Chorus)

He will not always strive with us,

Nor keep His anger forever.

It is He who gives life to us,

He grants us forgiveness in His grace.

For high as heaven is above the earth,

So great is His love,

Toward those who fear His name.

As far as east is from the west,

So far does He take our sins away.

(Chorus)

COME BACK PEOPLE

Words Adapted from Zechariah 12 by Moishe Rosen
Music by Mitch Glaser

Mine eyes have seen the pierced One,

Descending from the clouds,

Ten thousand angels at His side,

The trumpet sounding loud:

Chorus:

Come back people, children of Abraham,

Come back people, sons of Jacob,

The Lord has come, He’s heard your cry,

Open up your eyes, your redemption draws nigh.

My soul did mourn at Jesus’ death,

And I was born anew.

He filled me with His Holy breath,

And I was pierced too.

(Chorus)

The mountains split beneath His feet,

The heavens opened wide,

My Lord amidst Shekinah light,

His glory fills the sky.

(Chorus fade-out)

NONE BUT THEE

(Psalm 73)
Ceil Rosen/Mitch Glaser/Stuart Dauermann © 1979

When I looked upon the wicked men,

I was filled with jealousy.

They prosper in their wickedness,

And they don’t seem to suffer like me, O Lord.

No, they don’t seem to suffer like me.

See the wicked, their wealth secure,

They live a life of ease.

In vain O Lord, my heart is pure,

What’s the use if I keep my hands clean, O Lord,

What’s the use if I keep my hands clean?

But when I came into Thy sanctuary,

I understood their fate:

In the judgment they will perish utterly,

Like a dream when one awakes, O Lord,

Like a dream when one awakes.

None upon the earth, O Lord,

Do I desire but thee,

And whom have I in heaven,

Whom have I but thee, O Lord,

Whom have I but thee?

Though my heart and my strength may fail,

Thou my portion wilt bee;

My strength of heart forever more,

Thou my portion wilt be, O Lord,

Thou my portion wilt be.

And when I come into the day of judgment,

I need not fear what comes;

In the judgment day I’ll find redemption,

Through Jesus Thy Son, my Lord,

Through Jesus, Thy Son.

COVENANT SONG

(Psalm 89)

I have sworn to David my servant,

“Your seed shall reign forever.

Your throne shall prevail through all generations,

My covenant holds true.”

Chorus:

Like the moon, it course eternal,

I have given an oath to David My servant,

His blessings shall never end.

WHO HATH BELIEVED?

(Isaiah 53)
Steffi Rubin/Stuart Dauermann © 1978

He grew up before us, as a root from dry ground.

And in his appearance no beauty was found.

Despised and rejected, a sorrowful man.

The grief that he carried accomplished God’s plan.

Oppressed and afflicted, his lips did not tell.

Like a sheep to the slaughter, he followed so well.

Condemned with the wicked, with rich men in death.

In love and forgiveness, he breathed His last breath.

For the wounds that he bore,

He bore for our sins,

The sins that those bruises revealed,

The chastening of man,

He carried within,

And now, by His stripes we are healed.

Indeed the Lord willed it to bring Him this pain,

To offer Him up and revive us again,

His seed be triumphant, His name glorified,

And many be righteous because Jesus died.

Who hath believed our report?

Steffi Rubin/Rich Robinson © 1979

O Jerusalem, thou that stonest them,

I have sent to thee.

O Jerusalem, the blood of godly men,

Cries from the midst of thee.

O Jerusalem, O Jerusalem,

Have you no eyes to see;

That I so often would have gathered you unto me,

As a hen doth gather her chicks unto her.

But ye would not – But ye would not.

O Jerusalem, thy children shall be gone,

Thy house shall barren be.

O Jerusalem, I’ll not be back again,

Till ye shall say to me:

Blessed be he who comes,

In the name of the Lord.

Blessed be he who comes,

In the name of the Lord.

Baruch haba bashem Adonai!

.

AND SO HE DIED

(Isaiah 53)
Cynthia Goldstein © 1979

Who hath believe, this, our report?

Whose eyes have seen the Lord?

Slowly he grew, tender young plant,

Through Israel’s parched ground.

His face did we despise,

Our sorrows he bore,

His glory did we deny – And so He died.

Lashed for our wounds, crushed for our strength,

Pierced, He paid for sin.

Silent He stood, silent He died,

Bringing the world to Him.

Come the third day, empty the tomb.

Echoes of victory:

He’s not there, He’s alive,

Come Israel and see

There in the clouds He comes,

House of David, now learn,

This, your Redeemer,

Has returned,

Has returned,

He has returned.

.

LOOK UP!

(Revelation 1/Deuteronomy 18/Psalm 110)
Susan Perlman/Mitch Glaser © 1979

The Lord Himself will raise up unto you,

A Prophet, like your Moses he’ll be – Hallelujah!

From your own brothers the Mighty One shall come,

Listen to His Holy Words – Hallelujah!

Look up, He’s coming!

Coming in the clouds!

Every eye shall see.

Tell all the people,

The people of the earth,

Every eye shall see!

The Lord your God said unto my Lord,

“Come and sit at my right hand,” – Hallelujah!

For He has sworn and promised to my Lord,

Forever a priest he’ll be – Hallelujah.

“The end of day is coming,” declares the Lord of Hosts;

“The King of Kings shall reign,” – Hallelujah!

“His arm of grace extended to rule forevermore;

Judah shall be saved!” – Hallelujah!

WE WERE LIKE DREAMERS

(Psalm 126)
(Dauermann) © 1976

When the Lord brought back the captive ones of Zion,

We were like those who dream.

Then our mouth was filled with laughter,

And our tongues with joyful shouting,

When the Lord brought the captives home.

Then they said among the nations of the world:

“The Lord has done great things for them.”

Yes, You’ve done great things for us, Lord,

Therefore we are glad.

Lord, restore again the captive ones of Zion,

As the streams in the south.

That those who sow with tears might reap with joyful shouting,

When the Lord brings the captives home.

Then they’ll say among the nations of the world:

“The Lord has done great things for them.”

Yes You’ll do great things for us, Lord,

Therefore we are glad.

MESSIAHMAS CAROL

(Matthew 2; Luke 2)
(Geiser-Ruben/Dauermann) © 1976

Rejoice! Rejoice!

For King Messiah’s born in Bethlehem

Rejoice!

The Son of David has come

Where is the one who’s born the King Emmanuel?

For we have come with frankincense to Israel.

The eastern star of Bethlehem has led us here to worship Him

O Sons of men…..

Mine eyes have seen the day of Thy salvation.

Fulfillment of Thy Word of revelation,

A light to lighten Gentiles and glory unto Israel.

Of Him they tell…..

Rejoice! Rejoice!

For King Messiah’s born in Bethlehem.

Rejoice!

The Son of David’s come.

JEREMIAH’S CONSOLATION

(Jeremiah 31)
(Geiser-Rubin/Dauermann) © 1975

When Israel went forth to rest,

The Lord appeared to me and said,

I’ve loved you with an everlasting love.

And drawn you unto Me with loving kindness.

Again will I rebuild you Israel.

My virgin daughter Israel.

Then once again you’ll play your tambourines.

And you will go forth in merry dance.

And you shall plant the vineyards with your own hands,

On the hills of Samaria.

The planter shall enjoy,

The blessings of the Lord Who gave the Land.

Then one new day will come a time,

You’ll hear the watchman call your name.

They’ll call out from the hilltops in Ephraim,

Arise, let us to up to Zion.

Arise and offer praises to the Lord,

The Holy One of Israel.

Then once again you’ll play your tambourines.

Again will you go forth in merry dance.

And now you shall plant the vineyards with your own hands,

On the hills of Samaria.

The remnant shall enjoy,

The blessings of the Lord, Who gave the Land.

Then young and old together will rejoice and never weep again.

For God will turn their mourning into joy.

And comfort them and take away their sorrow.

And fill the earth with bounty from the Lord.

My virgin daughter Israel.

Then unto God you’ll play your tambourines.

In joy will you go forth in merry dance.

And now you shall plant the vineyards with your own hands,

On the hills of Samaria.

With thanks we shall enjoy,

The blessings of the Lord who gave the land.

GET YOU UP

(Isaiah 40)

REJOICE AND BE EXCEEDINGLY GLAD

(Matthew 5 & 24)
(Geiser-Rubin/Dauermann) © 1975

Many will come in My name,

And lead many people astray,

For wars will come,

And rumors of wars,

Wars and rumors of wars,

And many will fall away,

So many will fall away,

So many, so many, so many…..

But rejoice and be exceedingly glad!

Blessed are ye, blessed are ye.

You shall be called the sons of God.

And great is your reward in heaven.

Nation shall rise against nation,

And kingdoms will battle for gold.

For wars will come,

And rumors of wars.

Earthquakes and famines destroy,

And loving hearts grow cold,

And loving hearts grow cold…..

But rejoice and be exceedingly glad!

Blessed are ye, blessed are ye,

You shall inherit the gift of the earth.

And great is your reward in heaven.

You shall be hated for my sake,

And nations will murder your song,

For darkness will come,

And stars will fall,

Darkness and stars shall fall.

Take heart for it won’t be long,

Take heart for it won’t be long.

For the Son of Man shall come,

With power and great glory,

To gather us unto Him.

We shall be called the sons of God,

We shall inherit the gift of the earth.

Thy word shall never pass away,

And great is our reward in heaven.

CHANUKAH MEDLEY

(Traditional)
(arr. Dauermann) © 1975

Who can retell the things that befell us?

Who can count them?

In every age, a prophet or sage,

Came to our aid….

And we thank You Heav’nly Father

Rock of ages let our song,

Praise Thy saving power.

Thou, amidst the raging foes,

Wast our shelt’ring tower.

Furious, they assailed us,

But Thine arm availed us,

And Thy Word broke their sword,

When our own strength failed us.

.

TREES OF THE FIELD

(Isaiah 55)
(Geiser-Rubin/Dauermann) © 1975

You shall go out with joy,

And be led forth with peace.

The mountains and the hills,

Will break forth before you.

They’ll be shouts of joy,

And all the trees of the field,

Will clap, will clap their hands.

And all the trees of the field,

Will clap their hands.

The trees of the field,

Will clap their hands.

The trees of the field,

Will clap their hands,

While you go out with joy.

.

OUT OF THE DEPTHS

(Psalm 130)
(Geiser-Rubin/Dauermann) © 1975

Out of the depths I’ve cried to Thee.

O Lord,hear my voice.

Let Thine ear attend to me,

Let Thine ear attend to me,

Let Thine ear attend to me,

O Lord, hear my voice.

For if Thou shouldst mark iniquity,

O Lord, who could stand?

But there is forgiveness with Thee,

That we might fear Thy hand.

In Thy Word I hope, O God,

My soul waits for Thee,

More than the watchman for the morn,

More than the watchman for the morn,

My soul waits for Thee.

.

I WILL CALL UPON THE LORD

(Psalm 18)
(Glaser) © 1976

How I love the, O my Lord,

My rock and my strength!

My Redeemer and my God

In Whom will I trust

I will call upon the Lord,

Who is worthy to be praised,

I will call upon the Lord,

Who is worth to be praised.

Though death may overtake me,

Still will I not fear.

Enemies may surround me,

But Lord, You are near.

Who is God? save our Lord Jesus,

Our King and Redeemer!

And who is the rock? Save our God.

Our shield and our salvation.

COME BACK PEOPLE

(Zechariah 14)
(Rosen/Glaser) © 1976

Mine eyes have seen the pierced One,

Descending from the clouds,

Ten thousand angels at His side,

The trumpet sounding loud:

Chorus:

Come back people, children of Abraham,

Come back people, sons of Jacob,

The Lord has come, He’s heard your cry,

Open up your eyes, your redemption draws nigh.

My soul did mourn at Jesus’ death,

And I was born anew.

He filled me with His Holy breath,

And I was pierced too.

(Chorus)

PSALM 103

Stuart Dauermann

Chorus:

Bless the Lord my soul, and all that is within me,

Bless His holy name.

Bless the Lord my soul, forget not all His goodness.

Bless His holy name.

He pardons all your iniquities,

He healeth all of your diseases.

He redeems you from the grave,

And crowns you with lovingkindness.

He satisfies your desire for good,

And He renews your strength,

O Bless the Lord my soul.

The Lord performs His righteous deeds,

His justice for all who are oppressed.

(Chorus)

He will not always strive with us,

Nor keep His anger forever.

It is He who gives life to us,

He grants us forgiveness in His grace.

For high as heaven is above the earth,

So great is His love,

Toward those who fear His name.

As far as east is from the west,

So far does He take our sins away.

(Chorus)

PASSOVER LAMB

Sam Nadler – Stuart Dauermann

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,

God of Isaac,

Thank you for the Lamb

Three days He lay, then Jesus did rise,

So all who will believe, never have to die.

And by the blood of the pure and spotless Lamb,

We’re free, we are all set free.

Passover Lamb’s, blood upon the door,

Forming a cross, to seal us from death’s jaw.

And by the blood, of the pure and spotless Lamb,

We’re free, we are all set free.

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,

God of Israel,

Thank you for the Lamb

There’ll be joy and gladness on that day.

And now Israel, and now Israel,

What doth the Lord thy God require of thee?

But to fear the Lord thy God,

But to fear the Lord thy God,

And to walk in all His ways.

With all thy heart and soul.

You must love Him and must serve Him,

With all thy heart and soul.

HERE AM I, HINENI

(Isaiah 58:3)
Tuvya Zaretsky

Jonah, Jonah, where are you running to?

Jonah, Jonah, where do you go?

God is calling you, can’t you hear Him?

God is calling you, can’t you hear?

You will call and the Lord will answer you.

You will cry and God will say,

You will call and the Lord will answer you:

Here am I, Hineni,

Here am I, Hineni

He gave the prophets, He gave the Land.

He gave the Law by His mighty hand.

Where did we go wrong? Where did we fail?

O dear God, please hear our wail!

O dear God, please hear our wail!

Hear, O Israel, the Lord is calling you:

Salvation is in the Lamb.

O receive him and you will know,

The Redeemer of Zion is at hand,

The redeemer of Zion is at hand.

* Hineni is the Hebrew word meaning, “Here am I.”

MY YIDDISHEH MOMME
(My Jewish Mother)

My Yiddisheh Momme, I need her more than ever now,

My Yissisheh Momme, I long to kiss her wrinkled brow.

I long to hold her hand in mine as the days go by,

And ask her to forgive me for things I did to make her cry.

How few were her pleasures,

She never cared for fashion style, her jewels and her treasures,

She found them in her baby’s smile.

Yes, I know that I owe what I am today,

To that dear lady so old and grey.

To my wonderful Yiddisheh Momme, O Momme mine.

.

MARRIAGE OF THE LAMB

(Revelation 19:6-9)
Steffi Geiser – Stuart Dauermann

Let us rejoice and be glad for the marriage of the Lamb!

Let us give glory and honor to Him:

For this hath the bride been prepared.

Chorus:

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,

The Lord our God the Almighty reigns!

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,

The Lord the Almighty reigns!

Clothed in linen she has come,

For the marriage of the Lamb!

Arrayed is she in righteousness:

For this hath the bride been prepared.

Blessed are they who have been called,

To the marriage of the Lamb!

Clothed in bridelike purity,

For this have we all been prepared!

(Chorus)

.

WAIT UPON THE LORD

(Isaiah 40:27,28,31)
Stuart Dauermann

Why do you say, O Jacob,

And complain, O Israel,

“My way is hidden from the Lord?”

You say the justice due you,

Is not noticed by your God,

But it is you, it is you who do not know.

Have you not heard, the everlasting God,

Is the Lord, the Creator of the earth?

He does not grow weary,

He does not grow tired,

His understanding is unsearchable, And:

They that wait upon the Lord,

Shall renew, renew their strength;

They that wait upon the Lord,

Shall renew their strength.

They shall mount up with wings like eagles.

They that wait upon the Lord.

They shall run and not grow weary.

Wait upon the Lord!

They shall walk and they shall not faint,

They that wait upon the Lord,

For the Lord sustains His people.

Wait upon the Lord!

Israel: wait upon the Lord!

House of Jacob: wait upon the Lord!

House of Aaron: wait upon the Lord!

You who fear His name:

Wait upon the Lord.

.

HE IS MY GOD

Barry Ellegant

He is my God, my precious God.

His love is real, His love is true.

He is the God my people knew,

So long ago, so long ago.

When you hear the name of Jesus,

Don’t try to hide from Him.

He knows you well, He knows you well,

He knows all that is.

He was here before the world was formed,

He made it to be.

His handiwork has been from old,

For all men to see.

He is the Lamb, the Paschal Lamb:

Without a spot, He knew no sin.

Though innocent of any crime,

We judged our own guilt and had Him die.

Yet He rose to set His people free,

To bring them to god.

His love has made of Him a light,

By which we can see.

He was promised to rule David’s throne,

The righteous King of Peace.

To bring salvation unto all who trust and believe.

He is my God, my precious God.

His love is real, His love is true.

He is the God my people knew,

So long ago, so long ago.

MAKE READY

(Isaiah 40:3,4 John 1:23,32)
Steffi Geiser – Stuart Dauermann

From the wilderness there came,

A voice that cried the holy name:

Make ready ye who would be saved,

To call upon the Lord!

And many came to Jordan’s shore,

And prayed to sin no more,

For the grace of the Lord endures forever.

The grace of the Lord endures forever,

And ever and ever.

A prophet’s message John did teach:

Call upon the Lord.

And many heard the word he’d preach:

Make ready ye who would be saved,

To call upon the Lord!

The eve of our salvation’s come:

Repent and see the Son.

Make ready ye who would be saved,

To call upon the Lord!…….

Every valley shall be filled,

And God will tear down every hill:

Make ready ye who would be saved,

To call upon the Lord

Make ready ye who would be saved,

To call upon the Lord.

Then one morning from above,

There came the Spirit like a dove:

Make ready ye who would be saved,

To call upon the Lord.

And Jesus Christ, the Son of Man,

His ministry began.

For the promise of the Lord endures forever.

The promise of the Lord endures forever and ever.

The promise of the Lord endures forever and ever.

Make ready ye who would be saved,

Make ready ye who would be saved,

Make ready ye who would be saved,

To call upon the Lord.

THE ARM OF THE LORD

(Isaiah 59)
Steffi Geiser – Stuart Dauermann

The ear of the Lord is not too dull to hear,

Nor is His holy Arm too short to save.

The sins of my people have come between,

And have caused the Holy One to turn away.

O Israel, O Israel, Israel!

The hands of my people are defiled with blood,

Their fingers do the work of iniquity.

Their lips tell lies and their tongues speak evil.

And none of them can pray in honesty.

O Israel, O Israel, Israel!

Justice is so far from us,

We stumble like the blind.

There’s none who is righteous, Lord,

No man that we can find!

No man that we can find!

No man, no man that we can find!

The Lord saw Israel so guilty in His sight,

And wondered there was none to intercede,

So He stretched forth His Arm and brought salvation,

To my people in their need.

And His righteousness upheld the Holy One of Israel’s seed.

.

I AM NOT ASHAMED

(Romans 1:16)
Byron Spradlin

I’m ashamed of my sins,

And the sins of my people…..

But I am not ashamed of the Gospel,

It is the power of salvation to all those who believe.

I am not ashamed of the Gospel.

It is the power of salvation to all those who believe.
